spree Posted September 4 Posted September 4 if she is such a good actress, why is she wasting it on the 2nd underperforming movie in a row? 2 1
Hector Posted September 4 Posted September 4 Starts off at 59% on Rotten Tomatoes, so far. The original has 69%.

She's not writing the movies though. She's acting in them and getting acclaim, nothing else she can do except be better at choosing her scripts

FrederickGa Posted September 4 Posted September 4 Okay Gaga, time to focus on MUSIC This is DOA, Oscars wise mefears And now I'm doubting the Box Office
HASHTAGPOW Posted September 4 Posted September 4 They should've followed my advice to cast Bradley Cooper as Joker 1
State of Grace. Posted September 4 Posted September 4 I was skimming through some reviews and it's kinda sending me how once again her director gets lashed and she comes out (mostly) unscathed. Some critiques re: the plot and pace of the film are sooo similar to HOG's. Her reviews are fine from what I'm seeing, not actual raves, but good enough to land her more big roles. She really needs to pick better directors in the future. Fad aside, I was very excited for this film because it sounded great on paper and I already liked the first one although it had its flaws. I also knew this sequel would be divisive and wouldn't score past 60, but the things I'm reading are....not giving. I'll have to wait and see ig. 4

Tovitov Posted September 4 Posted September 4 Gaga's issue is that she's only starring in a movie every 3 or so years. It's normal for the most acclaimed actor/actress to star in duds. But they're also staring in one to two movies a year and can easily move on to the next project. 9

itsnotaegg Posted September 4 Posted September 4 gaga gets praised even in the bad reviews, an actor can't be blamed for a bad script and bad direction. Todd, you're in danger bb
FrederickGa Posted September 4 Posted September 4 I can already see the incels blaming the Musical & Gaga

Movies are such a huge group effort, actors can't control the end product, only their own performance. Cate Blanchett, probably the best working actor right now was just in Borderlands, a gigantic bomb. That said, Gaga needs to pick better scripts and directors. 8 1
