Pop Fan Posted September 4 Posted September 4 It's a Joker: FAD's World and you're lucky to be livin' in it (uh-huh, uh-huh)
Pop Fan Posted September 4 Posted September 4 Where are the original songs tho?? I heard that there were supposed to be 4 new original songs written for the movie.
Lil' Oz Posted September 4 Posted September 4 8 minutes ago, Stunnah said: The bold-ass delusion. For a movie released in theatres to be profitable, it needs to earn about 2.5 times its budget. Are you dumb enough to think the studio gets to keep the whole gross? The vast majority of House of Gucci's gross was from international markets, which means it may have required more than a 2.5 multiplier to be profitable. Guess what! In either scenario that makes the movie unprofitable. Even tho most of y'all don't want to hear this, this is the truth. For a film to make a profit it has to make 2,5 to 3 times its budget, because you also have take into consideration marketing and promotion. 2
suburbannature Posted September 4 Posted September 4 She did get a pan from Collider. Even her positive ones are pretty mild - she tries her best or can't elevate the material. Or just that she's good in the singing numbers. 3 4

Quote Its complete waste of Lady Gaga is worse than any of Joker's crimes.
Price of Fame Posted September 4 Posted September 4 yeah, House of Gucci did not make a profit in theaters, idk why that post has so many likes. it's box office was still notable because it was an adult drama that didn't completely fall flat on it's face when we were still in the peak years of the pandemic and mid-budget dramas were struggling more than ever but profitable? no 3

So you decided a performance that you've never seen is automatically bad despite people who've seen the movie saying the opposite. We need an Einstein badge mods 3
Wondy Lust Posted September 4 Posted September 4 To be fair, the movie didn't really look that appealing to me, thought it was better with the first as a standalone movie. I just wanna see how they handle the musical aspects atp

Mr. Stratus Posted September 4 Posted September 4 They're doing what they did with Gucci where they try to twist the bad FILM reviews into panning for G's acting Legend G will never suffer from that. She'll always get acclaimed acting 💋 10

Just like you're not interested in hearing that despite its budget (a bit overblown for that type of genre), it did well in terms of popularity as other adult dramas in that period were tanking completely while HoG brought in an audience that typically sat theatres out during Covid which is probably the main reason why the industry as a whole isn't labeling it a flop. katara Posted September 4 Posted September 4 I knew it would get panned. Just from the clips we saw it looked totally off and like it had no point anyway. Also the chemistry between Joker and Gaga seemed totally off. 5 5
sweetblindness Posted September 4 Posted September 4 I thought the very first trailer looked great, so I'm disappointed to see this reception. I'll still be seeing it anyways. 1
