shimind Posted September 4 Posted September 4 DWAS shows no signs of stopping and generally such songs tend to linger on the top 10 of hot 100 for months... Does this mean LG7 first single is under the threat of being overshadowed? Radios dont even play 1 gaga song how will they play 2 at the same time. 1
Strawberry Bubble Posted September 4 Posted September 4 I mean, it could be a real threat. Let's hope both songs complement each other
BYoncé Posted September 4 Posted September 4 Clearly DWAS has already DTN'd LG7's Houdini so she needs to scrap LG7 lead MV and move on to LG7's training season
gab00 Posted September 4 Posted September 4 That's a real risk but I think if the single comes at mid october she'll be fine. And of course an artist can have two songs charting simultaneously. It happens all the time.
Devin Posted September 4 Posted September 4 yea. i think dwas was intentional to be a commercial hit before she drops experimental bops to keep both audiences happy. 1
JO1s Posted September 4 Posted September 4 She should worry about the real lead of 143, heard it's going to be HUGE 1
Nando_05 Posted September 4 Posted September 4 The fact DWAS will be #1 on radio when the time LG7 first single is OUT
BrokenMachine Posted September 4 Posted September 4 Yes. DWAS is just a fluke, the real lead single will show how a true flop she is and how her and Katy Perry are on the same boat
Konril Posted September 4 Posted September 4 I will laugh out loud if it blocks any momentum of chart performance LG7 lead has.
Erreur2 La Nature Posted September 4 Posted September 4 It's strange how she is releasing her lead just a few weeks after the Bruno Mars collab. It's doing very good apparently and it can definitely be a threat for her own material
UnusualBoy Posted September 4 Posted September 4 If the lead is anything polarizing it will for sure be overshadowed, the gp hasn't used those type of songs from her in a while so there's that risk but we'll have to wait and see.
Ashley Banks Posted September 4 Posted September 4 If DWAS smashes, it'll probably help. A hit collab can make people pay more attention to an artist.
Doctor Dick Posted September 4 Posted September 4 They must've thought this through. This is the same team that kept pushing the release date of Stupid Love so them still releasing the lead in October and letting it compete with DWAS must mean it's either not commercial enough to even compete at all or it's very strong.
