Katy Perry's last album Smile, debuted at #5 with 50k sales in the US. It charted for a total of 4 weeks.

Do you think 143 will outdo this achievement? Will it have more or less staying power on the BB200?

At this point she will be lucky if it charts at #400 on the Bubbling Under Billboard 400

I just know i'm looking forward to all the tweets from stan accounts saying it has hit #1 on iTunes in countries where 2 copies get you to the top of the list

I think 143 will do better commercially. This isn't being released during the covid pandemic, she is a lot more visible, doing promo often and the VMAS will definitely help boost the first week's sales. Now, thinking about longevity, that is going to depend on how the next single and rest of the era rolls out.

143 has nothing as big as NRO or HIH. Plus, it's popular to hate on her at the moment…

None of them were targeted to Smile, they were originally droplets. Smile's first single technically was Daisies
