glitch Posted September 4 Posted September 4 Katy Perry's last album Smile, debuted at #5 with 50k sales in the US. It charted for a total of 4 weeks. Do you think 143 will outdo this achievement? Will it have more or less staying power on the BB200?
West Coast Posted September 4 Posted September 4 Not after the disastrous single rollout and the Dr. Luke productions 2
alexrex Posted September 4 Posted September 4 At this point she will be lucky if it charts at #400 on the Bubbling Under Billboard 400
getBusy Posted September 4 Posted September 4 I just know i'm looking forward to all the tweets from stan accounts saying it has hit #1 on iTunes in countries where 2 copies get you to the top of the list 2
unison stan Posted September 4 Posted September 4 katy said it sold 10K signed vinyls less than a half day so it will outsell smile's first week or else katy is a liar
MonsterNavy Posted September 4 Posted September 4 according to her 7 stans yes and its just us liddos who cares about the dr rape issue
Musicmajor Posted September 4 Posted September 4 I think 143 will do better commercially. This isn't being released during the covid pandemic, she is a lot more visible, doing promo often and the VMAS will definitely help boost the first week's sales. Now, thinking about longevity, that is going to depend on how the next single and rest of the era rolls out.
ThomasTea Posted September 4 Posted September 4 143 has nothing as big as NRO or HIH. Plus, it's popular to hate on her at the moment… 1
