She said don't bother her when she's off the clock, not that she wanted to be a smaller artist. You can't have both, sorry 9 1

If I stanned her, I just wouldn't approach her knowing what I know, I still like her music. Most popstars are just afraid to do so because they're worried it'll hurt their careers. 2 2

A flashy VMA performance is going to do much more for her than playing to 500 people in France. People here know that. They just want to be outraged about everything this girl does ever since she became the IT girl of the year…. They build them up to tear them out. Obvious backlash over nothing 2
georgechxng Posted September 3 Posted September 3 i promise her career will not suffer bc she cancelled 2 shows for 3k people and was able re-schedule one already. y'all are praying for her downfall so hard lol 2 1
Mr. Duff Posted September 3 Posted September 3 Damn. She may have her reasons, but I don't think the VMAs are that important considering she blew up organically. Unless she's planning a performance iconic enough to be remembered.
LastGreatBloodline Posted September 3 Posted September 3 choosing the VMAs over those concerts makes perfect sense in the current state of her career. I'm sure you people understand that but want to find whatever reason to hate on her, since the amount of success she's getting is triggering for bitter twitter stans. 1 1

TaggedGalaxy Posted September 3 Posted September 3 As they should be. Cancelling tour dates to attend an award show that no one watches anymore is so dumb and selfish
Material Girl Posted September 3 Posted September 3 the way chronically online stans have turned on her because she called them out for being weird stalkers is funny to watch 2 1
BrokenMachine Posted September 3 Posted September 3 (edited) Double post Edited September 3 by BrokenMachine
Jay07 Posted September 3 Posted September 3 (edited) She should have been less flippant about it, just put out an ig story that you're devastated and heartbroken but you vow to make it up to your fans. Then all the "she's ungrateful" whiners could stop. Instead she just posted "oh, at VMA rehearsals btw, lol", the day after cancelling. Doesn't this girl have a PR team. Edited September 3 by Jay07 7

K$Ellie Posted September 3 Posted September 3 idk that's kinda shitty and not a good look, the vmas are irrelevant these days 4
skeeyee Posted September 3 Posted September 3 With a bhad bhabie song playing over the announcement 💀 1

Cry Posted September 3 Posted September 3 Will she even last 2 mainstream eras with her flippant attitude?

She does what her label tell her to do, that is how it works. They put tons of money into her, recording, videos, promotion, management, traveling etc. She has contract to fulfill and she has to listen. 3 hours ago, TipToe said: This, cancelling concert dates is also a pain for the artist but she had to make a choice based on what's best for her career right now. The fans have to understand that. always whining about para social this para social that all over this forum but y'all can't stop kissing celebrities ass for 2 seconds? at least Taylor's cult fans are the first ones to crap on her when she does something dumb and they spread it like wildfire (and I'm using Taylor because thats all you guys talk about lbr) y'all enabling a spoiled girl that treats the people that got her ass off from the donut shop like garbage over and over and over in the span of less than a year? yeah that's really helping this celebrity idol worship that helps these artist horde money and be less and less respectful to the people that helped make their career POPULAR 3 2 1

brutal Posted September 3 Posted September 3 In a vacuum she was right to cancel cuz of the VMAs. VMAs ratings are awful but a) the flop ratings is still more than a random show in Europe b) the hope of award show/late night talk show performances in modern times is for it to go viral online after, not so much focus on the actual number of people watching live but on clips that will go super viral if done well. However, this cancellation is in direct opposition of her statements on fame so she is a hypocrite.
Vegvisir Posted September 3 Posted September 3 (edited) The glee some of you are displaying now that ya'll FINALLY have something to drag Chappell for is so corny and embarrassing, especially since it's just a couple cancelled dates for a major tv performance 14 minutes ago, Starchild said: at least Taylor's cult fans are the first ones to crap on her when she does something dumb and they spread it like wildfire (and I'm using Taylor because thats all you guys talk about lbr) Now this is an absolute bold faced lie and you know it sis Edited September 3 by Vegvisir 3
