Trent W Posted September 3 Posted September 3 Big mistake, the vmas don't produce anything anymore They used to be the main event of pop culture but the last time they were relevant was in 2016. 1
on the line Posted September 3 Posted September 3 Yeah, I'm officially over Chapped Lips. I was a fan until she blew up and opened her mouth. She's like opposite of dumb jock bros, but the more she speaks the less I want to listen. Oh well, next annoying Gen Z in 3, 2, 1.... 8
StayFrosty Posted September 3 Posted September 3 23 minutes ago, EriKills said: and even when she DOES acknowledge the short notice cancellations it's very flippant + the whole y'all are WEIRD comments she makes about her fans wanting a picture with her when she's "off the clock" The worst one was when she said "I've already explained why I cancelled" .
Green Posted September 3 Posted September 3 and what about it? They will have to get over it We know the VMA's (the awards) are irrelevant but a great performance on live TV can do wonders for her career, especially for a new / breakthrough artist like her. It's literaly her first awards performance. 1 1 1 1
Draper. Posted September 3 Posted September 3 It's funny how every year atrl complains about the VMAs being irrelevant or boring now and how they don't book performances we actually want to see, but now that someone is trying to do something about it they're bringing her down anyway. 5 2

Exactly. Chappell is an interesting and tanlented performer and we don't have many of those these days. If the performance is great, it will do wonders for her career which it's just starting 2 1
Rhyme Posted September 3 Posted September 3 I'm really confused why people keep saying shes a hypocrite and that she said she wanted to be less famous. She said don't bother her when she's off the clock, not that she wanted to be a smaller artist. 6 1
JustHoran Posted September 3 Posted September 3 2 hours ago, Paddy said: Barely anything from VMAs the past few years makes any noise outside stan Twitter. She'd be better not cancelling her shows and just stream live from the venue to VMAs from there. Win win that way for everyone. Performing at the VMA's is still a huge thing. It still gets watched by millions of people, millions of people that wouldn't know her otherwise. Those few fans at that small show will get over this. It's a big deal. 1
Velvet Night Posted September 3 Posted September 3 What a middle finger to European fans! Read the room, your fans are still pissed off. Also, for someone that is demanding respect from her fans, I think she should do the same for her fans time/money.

These millions of people that tune in tho are fans that already know about her. It's people obsessed with stan culture and stan Twitter, can easily presume these people already know about her and have already seen what she can do. 1
Radical Pessimism Posted September 3 Posted September 3 why are you guys mad at a canceled concert date that none of you were gonna attend? 1
liquiddiamonds Posted September 3 Posted September 3 And then she will serve a ******* great iconic performance and people will shut the **** up and take her album to the top of the charts… so predictable 2 1 1

Shinkirou Posted September 3 Posted September 3 (edited) If I was in her position I'd do the same. And so would everyone in this forum Edited September 3 by Shinkirou 1 1 2

The fans have to understand that. 2 1
commander Posted September 3 Posted September 3 (edited) Why is she cancelling a whole soldout arena for the millennials choice awards . Just pre record something and send it to them Edited September 3 by commander
mike_int Posted September 3 Posted September 3 You guys are acting like she actually has anything to say what she will or wont do. She does what her label tell her to do, that is how it works. They put tons of money into her, recording, videos, promotion, management, traveling etc. She has contract to fulfill and she has to listen. 1
UnusualBoy Posted September 3 Posted September 3 Atrl and its performative outrage, only 1 person in this thread was affected by this, not sure why the other hags are mad about it I just hope the performance is excellent, make it worth the drama, girlie! 1 1
AdrianNicki Posted September 3 Posted September 3 She will fall off as quickly as she blew up. She is not made for fame. 5
YourFavoriteWeapon Posted September 3 Posted September 3 (edited) The way no one has cared about the VMAs in years It isn't 2010 anymore. Edited September 3 by YourFavoriteWeapon
MatiRod Posted September 3 Posted September 3 Ppl need to realize that millions of dollars are being invested in the Chappell Roan project right now, I can imagine that she is expected to try and become as big as possible now to make back the $. A flashy VMA performance is going to do much more for her than playing to 500 people in France. 1
