Dark Miracles Posted September 2 Posted September 2 Truly. She manages to sound at once serene yet desperate, and the percussion building throughout the song gives it a hint of danger. They're also the finest lyrics she's ever written. The long fadeout just tops it off perfectly for me. 1
ThousandMiles Posted September 2 Posted September 2 I think the OP might have had a seizure and smashed their keyboard when making this thread.. They meant to type (the only Prism deluxe song that matters), Spiritual 2 1
Gladiator Posted September 2 Posted September 2 (edited) Honestly in all three of the Prism deluxe tracks she served very high quality in my opinion. I'd also have an argument for Pearl off of Teenage Dream. Edited September 2 by Gladiator 1
ChooseyLover Posted September 2 Posted September 2 Well yes. I just know that her best song belongs to PRISM.
UnusualBoy Posted September 2 Posted September 2 She really was in her bag with that one, the fact that wrote it and co-produced it. She could've explored more this sound for Witness. 2
bebinna Posted September 2 Posted September 2 Ghost, Double Rainbow, Spiritual. The dark side of PRISM is better than the bright side i think 3
MerveAksak Posted September 2 Posted September 2 Double Rainbow, Choose Your Battles, Spiritual These songs are actually so good and kinda what I wanted from Katy since I heard these... sadly we got Lifetimes 1
Opulent Posted September 2 Posted September 2 Tea, it's extremely underrated The latter half of Prism in general is some of her best
Timeless Posted September 2 Posted September 2 Especially when it gets to the final chorus / outro LITERAL HEAVEN 5 1

Vixen Eyes Posted September 2 Posted September 2 this boldfaced LIE. her masterpiece is Circle the Drain, NO exceptions!
skwonderfactory Posted September 2 Posted September 2 It's her most overrated song ever. Like it's decent but it really is not all that like y'all make it out to be.
Sugar-Rush Posted September 2 Posted September 2 CYB and Spiritual should've been on the standard edition imho. The standard album would've been a lot stronger in the second half if those songs had replaced This Moment and Ghost.
Jotham Posted September 2 Posted September 2 This + BTGOG are her two must underrated masterpieces. Greg Wells did that.

What you mean? It's her least played track on Prism. Nobody talks about this track. Lifetimes has more listens than this.

Scandalous Posted September 3 Posted September 3 this and Spiritual are kind of her best songs it's criminal that they were both relegated to deluxe tracks 2

Ger Posted September 3 Posted September 3 (edited) Oh yes, I'm glad to see the recognition. The progression during the song is exquisite, lyrics are top, a great song in all aspects, what a way to end PRISM. Edited September 3 by Ger 1
YourFavoriteWeapon Posted September 3 Posted September 3 I don't think this is her best masterpiece considering that I'd have to give that to Lost, but it definitely is up there. What a stunning song and a beautiful way to end Prism. I also would classify Waking Up In Vegas, A Cup of Coffee, Teenage Dream, Circle the Drain, The One That Got Away, Ghost, Double Rainbow, By the Grace of God, Spiritual, It Takes Two, Tsunami, Bigger Than Me, and Simple all as masterpieces too IMO. Damn when I put it like that, I realize that there are so many Katy songs I genuinely love. Regardless of how my feelings on her took a downturn post-Smile somewhat disappointing me and her working with Luke leaving me disgusted and disheartened, I will always have a special place in my heart for a lot of Katy songs and defend her against the "singles artist" notion when I believe that her best output is mostly found in her deep cuts. I miss when she made music this strong and heartfelt vs. **** like Luke's World and Jailtimes 1
Princess Aurora Posted September 3 Posted September 3 When it comes to Prism. Unconditionally, Choose Your Battles, and Ghost are the best tracks.
