xXavril
No! It's a mid mixtape that she herself said she doesn't want people to listen to
Scheissex
19 minutes ago, motherfossora said: i think the same, i think she kinda wanted to do a confessional and diaristic album like ocean blvd but for some reason she stopped working on more songs and just put some old unreleased songs on it and called it a day the old songs she put on blue banisters were literally ripped from youtube, that shows how lazy she was with it I always think about this like it's such a turnoff to me Nothing Lana does is bad, and I'm glad it gave us BB, Dealer, WW and Sweet Carolina. But I don't revisit it much and I think it gets the appropriate amount/lack of praise.
prostitute pickup
I personally love it, people do too much on an album thats filled with amazing songs. Its mainly the mellower production and slow tempo that make ppl haters but isn't that the epitome of Lana Del Rey? Only complaint I have is that the Beautiful orchestral version needed to be the released version. It really brings the first section together flowing well with Arcadia and VFR (Which Arcadia is such a classic Lana song, honestly shocked at how hated it is)
ScorpiosGroove
no. it's unpolished, lazy, mostly boring, full of corny lyrics and just feels like a random playlist. it's considered her worst album by most for a reason. sure there's some very good standalone tracks and none of the songs are actually bad or terrible, they just don't work together to form a cohesive body of work that keeps you engaged. everything it tried to be was done miles better on chemtrails and ocean boulevard and half the songs being decade old scraps she lazily ripped off of youtube kinda says it all
Bacardo Royale
I don't listen to it much anymore but I was obsessed when it first came out

toy soldier.
Some high highs but a lot of mids/lows Wildflower Wildfire has to be one of my favourite Lana songs though
KatyPrismSpirit
3 hours ago, BlackoutZone said: But is it.. we got better stuff since, we don't have to force it It's not really about forcing to like it but more about also recognizing that the album still was a solid effort at the end of the day. It has some really good songs on it. As a whole album sure it has skips and Ocean Blvd had way greater highs but that shouldn't take away from giving Blue Banisters ha flowers every once in a while. Its crazy to me that the album only lasted 5 weeks on the BB200 compared to Ocean Blvd's 41 weeks.
conquxror
Nope, it's properly rated imo. It's not worst than Chemtrails, but not better than Ocean Blvd. It's just… there
Joesuxx
You know I find my self listening to this and OB the most. There is not a single bad song on this album. Yes she has better albums, yes they're all a bit slow and it can be a bit long if you're wanting beats. BUT let's be for fckn real black bathing suit is unhinged, if you lie down with me is perfect old school Lana. Thunder and deal need I say anything about them? Both flawless. "Oh but cherry Blossom was already leaked" - yes it was and when it did everyone wanted it to be released officially. The era also gave watercolour eyes, and Buddy's which tack into the album beautifully. Arcadia translates so poetically live and is a real moment to experience in her setlist, wildflower gave us the Patty drama. Honestly with the exception of the BB video being only 40 something seconds I genuinely don't see what's not to love about Blue Bannisters.
synk
definitely her weakest album, but the trio interlude is good that should've been a full song Edited September 2 by synk wrong word
ahauntingnearu
Blegh Blandisters is the lowest point of her lovely discography. Period.
NOW
Quality wise it's her sloppiest work. It was definitely made within the pandemic mindset so maybe that's why I love it.
