Solaria Posted September 1 Posted September 1 Olivia remains the only Gen Z artist (also the only artist to debut in the 2020s) to have all their albums debut and stay at No.1! What went right for the songwriter of a generation? Is it TABS? Discuss!
Blackout2006 Posted September 1 Posted September 1 Cuz she's only behind Billie as the biggest Gen Z popstar 3
Jenni Posted September 1 Posted September 1 Because she was lucky that no other big artist released their album the same week as hers. 1 1
Popular Post wish Posted September 1 Popular Post Posted September 1 Because a certain artist decided to ship 80k+ of back-loaded CD sales in order to block Billie's latest album But yes, Olivia is a sales girlie with the power to debut over 300k. Not everyone has that! 13 1 4 2

itshyolee Posted September 1 Posted September 1 You make it sound as if she's pumping out albums like Rih did back then Olivia only has 2 albums out. 1 2
Loca Posted September 1 Posted September 1 I don't know, all I can say is that not everybody (gen z or not) has that. Good for her.
Jenni Posted September 1 Posted September 1 Just now, Solaria said: BTS isn't as big as Olivia neow? Olivia has never competed against BTS on the Billboard 200, only with one of its members, who is not bigger than her.
Joey307 Posted September 1 Posted September 1 She only has two albums thus far and her comeback had a lot of hype with Vampire, though the next singles didn't reach the same success. She's still an incredibly popular celebrity and her touring stats are proof of that, though I think she'll have to change her style to keep her fanbase.

nostalgic Posted September 1 Posted September 1 It's called talent, hard work, determination, relatability and being down to earth
Draper. Posted September 1 Posted September 1 Hm if it's only getting the #1, Chappell will have all her albums (1) going #1 soon. And Billie could still take it in a slow week with some exclusive vinyl or extended version or something, but I don't really think she cares that much.
jeffersonairplanes19 Posted September 1 Posted September 1 (edited) no she isn't shawn mendes was born in 98 and he has four. She's the only female gen z artist. Edited September 1 by jeffersonairplanes19 2
burninredhot Posted September 1 Posted September 1 Now that I think about it Taylor blocked Billie only so that Olivia could hold this record And yall said Tay hated her 1 1
Gorjesspazze9 Posted September 1 Posted September 1 (edited) Cuz she is the 2nd biggest Gen Z main pop girl. Idk why Stan's try to act like she isn't. Only Billie is bigger from her generation Edited September 1 by Gorjesspazze9 1
AshleyLovescats887 Posted September 1 Posted September 1 I mean, we'll see if OR3 is gonna get blocked or not i love Olivia's music so I hope this fact stays true for a few more years
ATRL Moderator supaspaz Posted September 1 ATRL Moderator Posted September 1 You all will really brag about anything 3
Into The Void Posted September 1 Posted September 1 (edited) Shawn Mendes is Gen Z with all 4 of his albums debuting at #1, so you are actually wrong lol @Solaria His upcoming 5th album doesn't come out until Oct 18 Edited September 1 by Into The Void 1
Rihinvention Posted September 1 Posted September 1 I mean…Billie only got blocked because Taylor is so insanely huge right now. That's like saying Bad Romance wasn't a hit because it got blocked by Tik Tok. At the end of the day, Bad Romance was still a hit. Sometimes it's just unfortunate timing, and nothing more. Also, considering album's highest weeks are always their first few weeks, they have less to do with the album quality and more to do with the artist's popularity and the timing of the release. How could it be about the album's quality when no one's heard even it yet? I'm not discrediting Sour or Guys — they're great albums. I'm just saying the Billboard 200 is always a reflection of hype, popularity, effective promotion, and strategic timing.
Rihinvention Posted September 1 Posted September 1 Also kind of off-topic but she looks STUNNING here. As soon as she drops the teen-angst fashion/sound, they gays are going to be obsessed with her. (Not including the baby gays who are already obsessed with her)
