The most chart-wise unlucky artists

Bends

Recommended Posts

The Veronicas were absolutely big and popular in Australia during the 2000s, but despite many hits they were unable to top the album chart.

The Veronicas

• The Secret Life (#2)

• Hook Me Up (#2)

• The Veronicas (#2)

• Gozdilla (#7)

• Human (#5)

• Gothic Summer (#6)

Demi Lovato.

She has 8 albums and only managed to go #1 once, which was 15 years ago.

Lovatics did her so wrong:rip:

I believe she's the only ex-act that doesn't have a #1 hit on the Hot 100 as well:gaycat6:

Little Mix in the UK. They had big selling album weeks and I'm sure they've only had one #1 album because juggernauts released the same week as them :rip:

Happens to a lot of artists tbh

Some of Madonna's big classics went #1 but some of her most well known tracks were #2. Gaga is similar. I wouldn't call any of the three of them unlucky per say, more so I'd just say they exemplify the adage of #1 doesn't necessarily mean everything.

& PITUSA + We Can't Stop both got blocked by 2 of the biggest smashes ever in the US:deadbanana2: she should have 4 #1s by now

agreed. they weren't really unlucky, they just weren't playing the game like the other popstars at that time

bad romance, telephone and paparazzi were huge and basically #1 songs but gaga and her team never cared. meanwhile, katy and rihanna were releasing remixes, discounting their songs, payola etc that's why all their songs reached #1

taylor never really cared iirc back then but now... oh lord :eli:

It's totally Dua.

Like, Levitating was stuck at #2 even at the Global 200 :suburban:

it's britney b****

in the us, due to radio ban, oidia and toxic peaked at #9 and they were her only top 10 singles in the early 2000s (stronger, everytime came close by peaking at #11 and #15 respectively)

whereas in the uk, her singles did way better, unfortunately she have yet to have #1 uk album

dua in the us, she has 2 #2 peaking singles (dsn and levitating) and a #2 peaking album (Radical optimism)

HM: Taylor in the uk, although she has #1 singles recently, majority of her biggest uk hits peaked at #2 (love story, shake it off, I knew you were trouble, cruel summer), 2 of them also peaked at #4 (blank space, wanegbt)
