KatyPrismSpirit Posted August 31 Posted August 31 (edited) Well? Can somebody please tell me so us cats can mentally prepare a little bit? Have we hit rock bottom? Can it only go up from this point? What should we fear the most? The future HDD thread? The Spotify numbers? The viral hate posts after her Vanguard performance? The Pitchfork review? More controversy? I'm scared ATRL. Please help. I need answers. So far we had to endure: - Dr. Puke controversy - Bad reception to Woman's World - Accusations of environmental terrorism - Bad Spotify/Billboard numbers - Accusations of plagiarism (RETRACTED/DISPROVED) Edited August 31 by KatyPrismSpirit

Bends Posted August 31 Posted August 31 Sadly, this album will be panned by critics. I can see that reviews will contain more dramatic and moral, not creative aspects. 1
ChrisTheLoner Posted August 31 Posted August 31 It can only go down from here if WW or LT are anything to go by 2
Konril Posted August 31 Posted August 31 Probably the Critic's review, so anything above this score from Pitchfork should be a win: 9
brutal Posted August 31 Posted August 31 No shade, and I don't even care for Katy, but anyone who is still mass dragging her in 2024 is a loser. We all get it, she's a flop and has been one for a while. What now? Like the drags for Witness made sense cause it was the steep decline, Smile deserved some final blows cuz it denied her a comeback chance, but dragging 143 (I'm assuming this is her album title) is just beating a dead horse at this point... 2 1
deardesperado Posted August 31 Posted August 31 metacritic is about to invent a new shade of red for 143's score 3
Marla Singer Posted August 31 Posted August 31 Just avoid the internet during 143's chart run (~2-3 weeks) and you'll be good.
STMG23 Posted August 31 Posted August 31 I hope the worst is over but with Miss Kitty Purry you never know 2
Sannie Posted August 31 Posted August 31 It'll keep getting worse but will eventually plateau and as people just move on. By that time, Katy will be done. 3
BrokenMachine Posted August 31 Posted August 31 The worst has already happened since your hopes and dreams are already crushed 2
Edit0rz Posted August 31 Posted August 31 Voted keeps getting better. At this point anyone with 2 brain cells can see her career as a pop hit maker is beyond a comeback. I would assume it will be easier for what fans she has left because I can't see anything Katy does as being newsworthy, even major floppage. I wouldn't be surprised if we never heard from Katy Perry again except for a throwback.
EnigmaticAndroid Posted August 31 Posted August 31 143 will get mostly panned with the potential for a review or two to be contrarian and defend the album to some degree ("it's not that bad"), it'll totally flop, the era will be effectively over in two weeks, and then Kats will patiently wait for Katy to do something. 1
Polgg48 Posted August 31 Posted August 31 (edited) everyone on/attack katy herself rather than focus on her music and definitely between dark red or light red on MC, i feel i know what she should do during first week and beyond but she will destroy any credibility because she cant help herself digging her hole deeper. truly her own enemy is her own self. Edited August 31 by Polgg48
YourFavoriteWeapon Posted August 31 Posted August 31 It will only get worse from here. I'm eager for the Metacritic score, the scathing P4K review (hopefully they go IN), how Stan Twitter reacts to it, and how bad the box scores will be (unless she's smart and does 3-5k capacity venues in smaller cities). That's What You Get.mp3 when you support someone who RAPED your friend. Karma.mp3 2
