No one being able to come up with an accurate sonic definition for hyperpop means its influence-origin gets thrown about so often. If we didn't have the folk music that influenced 90s euro-pop that then influenced the American pop of 2010s that then influenced PC Music.

M.I.A.'s legacy is more in the form of bedroom beats (some of the best from S.W.I.T.C.H.), blending world music with hip-hop and being probably THE greatest female rapper of all time.
