Wildcat
Which VMA performance by the Queen Of Pop is THE most iconic overall, ATRL?. "Like A Virgin" at the inaugural VMAs (1984), the Marie Antoinette-inspired "Vogue" performance (1990) or the controversial "Like A Virgin" / "Hollywood" medley with Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera and Missy Elliot (2003)? Vote and discuss.
DonnaSpring
All so close and all are top 10 moments in VMA history but I will say like a virgin 1984 Edited August 30 by DonnaSpring

Rev8
The first one made the VMAs but I also don't think it was that famous afterwards. It was the first of its kind but not the strongest (not for her for sure) imo it's a bit overrated because of its place in history Vogue was amazing deserves more praise and tbh ..I've been seeing it Much more than the first ..so I kind of feel that it is probably more talked about, despite the first having the legacy of being The First.. the grace, the professionalism, the skill The Kiss is probably the most shocking and talked about when it happened it's still pretty popular and imo the most iconic VMA performance ...everything about it was such a Kii ofc it helps that there was Britney, Xtina and even Missy Elliott (which a lot of ppl unfortunately forget about)

I wasn't alive either, and The Kiss was a huge moment in my childhood... But my understanding is that her '84 performance put the VMAs on the map while also launching Madonna into superstardom. It also broke barriers for female sexuality in on-stage performances. Edited August 30 by PoisonPill

Richie.Valdez
I am voting for the kiss because its the one that happened when I was already born
Big Bad Wolf
I feel like this one best showcases her ability as a dancer and performer. But she doesn't have an "amazing" VMA performance for me, but they are all undeniably iconic in their own right. Jay07
Iconic? 1984. Best? Vogue. The outfits, the choreography, the attitude... they don't make em like that anymore. The Kiss is fun, mainly for including the newest pop starlets and Madonna flipping the gender roles but I don't like performances that reference stuff that came before so heavily. TipToe
It's Vogue, hands down. The "kiss" is more remembered for the "shock" factor but Vogue did impact the audiences on a better way imo, that generation gheys were fascinated seeing such a ghey performance!
