Poppy's 2018-2021 run is unmatched.

I forgot to list a couple more masterpieces but jfc her music during this period was GODLY and I loved seeing her tap into a more dark and experimental side of herself during this four year period. It's a shame I'm pretty neutral towards her new music considering I adored the stuff she was doing around this time.

I can't believe Poppy never got mainstream success :gaycat7:

I Disagree was amazing, I felt like she really mastered her sound. Doing her own thing and experimenting but still having huge catchy choruses

Flux though... :ninja:

Flux wasn't as strong as her Am I A Girl?/Choke/I Disagree but I still think it had a few good songs. Zig on the other hand sucks ass aside from Church Outfit, Motorbike, and Hard - what a disappointing album.

I feel like her vibe and style was way too unique for the GP to digest, though I do think that Lowlife had moderate hit potential if Island actually tried to push it.

PLUG ME INTO THE FEEDING MACHINE
TEN IN A PEN PRESSED AGAINST ME
CUT OUT MY TONGUE SO THAT I CAN'T SCREAM
THERE'S MEAT, THERE'S MEAT ON ME
ANTIBIOTICS KEEP ME ALIVE
NOW THAT EVERYONE I LOVE HAS DIED
HANG ME UP AND STRIP ME CLEAN
THERE'S MEAT, THERE'S MEAT ON ME

The key change in that final chorus >>>> And not you stanning one of her best BOPS with your username :jonny5: "I want your floppy disc to be my hard drive" is such an iconic lyric.

People saying "I Disagree" at the beginning of their messages makes me believe they disagree with OP. :rip:

her new album was panned by critics

i wish she would make pop music again

I won't tolerate any Flux disrespect! It is not I Disagree, but it still has amazing songs like the title track and Bloom.

My dream for a new album would be her to doing postpunk/darkwave   :jonny:

Her music after I disagree hasn't been good Imo

New Way Out and VAN are some of her best songs though

I don't think her heart was ever truly in pop music like it was with nu-metal/alt rock, but I would love another pop era.

Zig was a very mixed bag, and kinda disappointing. I totally agree with your song picks on it but I would also add Knockoff. I am STILL obsessed with it :dies: The reworked production on that old track goes hard

She kinda fell off after Flux imo. Yeah I know Flux is unpopular for not being as good as I disagree but Flux is fine and has a few great songs. Nothing she's done since interested me much.

I'm not into her screamo stuff, but AIAG is an amazing album. No skips.

Flux has Hysteria and Her which are some of her best songs IMO, but the rest of the songs range from decent-skip. Zig is where her discography truly took a tumble outside of three songs I really love.
