Adele and Ed Sheeran have both followed naming conventions of their albums since the start of their careers. The former titles her albums after the age she was when she started working on them, while the 'Celestial' hitmaker follows a pattern of using mathematical symbols. Which one is more annoying?

Neither. They've always been very cool naming schemes actually.

Adele's is cute and it's weird that she's the first artist to do it. She'll end it eventually I'm sure but I don't think she's the type of artist to be bothered by the idea of stagnating.

Ed is lame.

I like both actually, but Ed's will eventually run out so I would have to say that

One is iconic, the other is a ******* geek.

Ed Sheeran's feels cheap.

Ed because there are songs that do not fit the concept

it makes sense with Adele

just simple and straight forward, like a biography.

I actually appreciate Adele's naming convention. It's as if I could relate to her music when I was 21, and I feel like I will relate to it again when I reach 30. It's a clever way of helping her fans connect with her life stages.

On the other hand, I don't find any meaning in Ed Sheeran's mathematical album titles. Ed Sheeran himself is rather irritating.

Ed Sheeran's doesn't really make much sense

Adele's naming scheme isn't that bad when you compared to Ed. She said it's derived from her age when she wrote the album or something like that.

Divide multiply addition subtraction - what's the album title even supposed to represent.

Ed's was a dumb way of copying Adele

None is irritating to me tbh. Adele's album naming makes more sense though

Sorry, make instead of like

Ed's never made sense unlike Adele's.

Why would either of these be irritating

Ed because he already gave it up with his attempt at a folkmore moment

Plus No 6 collaborations project which was a random throwback to his EP days.

OT: Ed will always be more annoying to me regardless of the question asked, but Adele's is funny since her ages are always a bit off by the time the album comes out

It's supposed to be when she started working on the album, no? Apart from 30 (supposed to come out in 2020, delayed cuz Covid) it's always 1-2 years off which checks out

Not bothered by either but Adele's titles make more sense thematically since they're meant to represent the points in her life the music is based on
