The Slayer Posted August 27 Posted August 27 So it has officially been 8 years since Britney released her last album, Glory. I cannot believe it has been that long. Do we think we'll ever get a tenth album or do we think she is completely done with the industry as she claims on instagram? 1
nathanspears Posted August 27 Posted August 27 I think we'll eventually get one last album of scraps and raritites and then all parties will call it a day. I think 10 albums is enough and a nice way to end it.

Yeah, I'll be happy with a commemorative re-release of The Singles Collection including all her singles to date and a rarities CDs with 10-12 tracks. Also they really need to make all the bonus tracks available on streaming, especially: Amnesia Quicksand Scary Outta This World Edited August 27 by SinnerCity 3
ChooseyLover Posted August 27 Posted August 27 Happy Birthday to Glory In all seriousness, can't believe it's been 8 years The Britney Army and Rihanna's Navy have been in Pop Detention for almost a decade. My answer is yes. I can't verbalize or imagine a "no" because my sanity can't afford it.
toy soldier. Posted August 27 Posted August 27 Yeah I am sure she'll do another album at some point, just not sure when. Could be in a couple of years or in a decade lol
The Slayer Posted August 27 Author Posted August 27 I hate how those closest to her ruined her passion, she is a star. 1
torontowest91 Posted August 27 Posted August 27 I wish - Britney is my favourite it would be interesting to have an album on her terms & who she wants to work with vs all the forced music
Asparagus Spears Posted August 27 Posted August 27 Yes we'll get one. There's been too many reports of her saying she's working on one. She's too big of a star for it to be kept under wraps.
Julián Posted August 27 Posted August 27 8 years!?!?! I still remember the day I heard Make Me I want to say yes but I think she's retired. My favorite popstar of all time
Brooklyn Baby Posted August 27 Posted August 27 Eventually, yes. I will be ready to consume it when she's ready
Rihinvention Posted August 27 Posted August 27 To be perfectly honest, no, I don't. I think there's too much trauma attached to her career. She's finally free and she has the financial means to retire. Also, I don't think enough people realise that your voice is a muscle. You have to train it. And if you don't use it, you lose it. Britney's intense choreography meant that she became entirely dependant on lip-syncing quite early in her career — apart from the occasional live rendition of 'Everytime' which would always get slaughtered by critics. I'm not saying this to criticise her. Her choreography was INTENSE. But it also meant that she didn't "hone" her craft, and in 2024, the industry standard now is live vocals — from everyone — without intense support from background vocals, producers and autotune, unless the autotune is stylistic choice. Gen Z and Gen Alpha definitely respect her as a legend, but new material wouldn't perform well. Plus, it's only fair that teenagers want to see themselves, and hear their experiences, reflected in today's pop stars. Hell, that's what Britney WAS and it's another huge part of her legacy. The only way I can see her releasing new material would be if, in a decade or so, she felt happy, healthy and stable, and was confidently making the decision herself. I could see her taking singing lessons for a year or two, rediscovering her love for singing, and trying something acoustic, or country. But as far as the robotic EDM releases of 'Ooh La La' and 'Manjo B' are concerned, no. That door has closed and I think it's for the best.

DonnaSpring Posted August 27 Posted August 27 I think yes when she loves music again, Mabye 3 years time
psychodiva336 Posted August 27 Posted August 27 Another album of brand new original music? As much as I'd love that, after reading her memoir, I don't think that's gonna happen. She's DONE with the industry. However, re-releases of albums we already have with bonus tracks previously unavailable on streaming? Absolutely!

She said she wasn't going to put out a biopic but now there's one in place. I believe she will put out a 10th album or likely a biopic soundtrack to her biopic likely released in 2025 or 2026. I think RCA would be WISE to put out a GH volume 3 AFTER certifying parent albums BOMT, Oops, Britney, GHMP, TSC and Glory and recertifying In the zone and Femme fatale. Put it out this or next year before the biopic Also, I'm sure they'll put a rarities or unreleased album out post the biopic. SHe only completed one album on her new deal post 2014 and I doubt she signed a 7 album deal but she likely signed a 3-5 album deal so she owes at leat 2-4 more albums on her contract. Original album deal (3): 1-3 Renegotiated album deal (7): BOMT standard + extension to 7 to include OIDIA, Britney, In the zone, GHMP, BITM volume 1 and Blackout New album deal (5): Circus, TSC, BITM2, FF and BJ Current album deal (3-5): Glory, 1
Erreur2 La Nature Posted August 27 Posted August 27 As of right now I think Britney will never return to the music industry. I can imagine her releasing one or two songs that she enjoys later (I mean her own music not songs on which she's featured) but I don't see her making an album. And if that ever happens I doubt we would get music videos/performances/tour etc, she would release and disappear (which I'd be fine with at this point).

Green Posted August 27 Posted August 27 She doesn't have to release a full album or do tours/performances, but she could release stand-alone singles with music videos
