Every verse is just a list of words that rhyme. It's a shame because she actually used to have a lot of word play in her lyrics. I know 'ur so gay' copped a lot of heat, but it went semi-viral earlier this year, and even songs like 'Circle The Drain' would actually…say something. All the songs from this era are like, "I said hello. You played cello. I wore yellow. It was mellow" over a rejected Ava Max beat whilst she's surrounded by circuit gays. She has no choice I'm not the biggest fan of the snippet but with Doechii it has the chance to go viral. The vibe of the song can easily fit into a challenge and/or other short content edits.

But even if HHH is an example of Max's "bad" music with Katy, then we also have Bon Appetit, Roulette, Witness, Chained To The Rhythm, all with Max without Luke, and all some of her best songs ever, and then we have Luke without Max and the material is... Woman's World, Lifetimes, this... I would prefer HHH over any of these and that's Max just letting her keep some of the cliche lyrics on it. 3
