For an album that is supposed to be her "big comeback", why does every song so far sound so uninspired and low-effort? Where are the cheeky yet witty lyrics that Katy is known for? It's like she (and her co-writers) thrown every possible cliche in pop music and called it a day. And strangely, Katy herself sincerely believed that it would work. After all, she was in the studio reading these texts into a microphone.

That's the same chorus in the OG song. Y'all are so dramatic when all we've heard is a 30-second snippet. 1

Not in a rude way but 90s house music doesn't feel authentic to her as an artist at all. If she had done something super creative it could have worked. But this is just dry and sterile. Katy can't win with you guys. If she does bubblegum pop, then she hasn't evolved. If she tries something new, then she's inauthentic. Gurl, please. 2 2 1

Lord Gaga Posted September 1 Posted September 1 The way witness and smile are shaping up to be masterpieces compared to what we've heard so far we pray for at least something of swish swish quality 3

After 5 albums and +17 years of career the regression seems insane 3 1
PopMusicJunkie Posted September 2 Posted September 2 This song clocks in at 3:18? Whew, thank goodness, we really won.

Roar and Last Friday Night on top of my head. She was spoiled with great success of her mediocre songs during her reign. 1

Capitol will continue to slowly invest in Lifetimes, which is rising at a snail's pace on HAC radio. Edited September 3 by Bends 2

I don't think so, but she said in her last interview a music video is ready to be released and it was for I'm His He's Mine. So, if they didn't change the plans, probably it will be the next song to be released, since the music video is ready. 1
Bends Posted September 5 Posted September 5 (edited) (Intro) Do-Do-Do-Do-Do, Doechii? (Kitty) He's mine Doechii kitty (Doechii & Katy Perry) I'm his queen, I'm his freak I'm every woman he wants and needs I'm his dream, I'm his drug I'm every woman he wants, so what? I'm his boss, I'm that ***** I'm every woman he knows exists I'm his main, I'm his side I'm every woman that's been his "mine" Lost in the moment, time stands still We're together, doing our own thrill You got my back, I got yours No need for words, just love pours (Chorus) I'm his, he's mine, ain't no doubt We found each other, there's no way out Locked in a groove, can't be denied This love we share, we can't hide (I'm his-his-his, And he's mine) (Bridge) Yo, he calls me queen, he calls me freak, Every desire, I'm the one he seeks. His dream girl, his high, his daily fix, Got him hooked, I'm the ultimate mix. But truth is, honey, I'm a rent-a-rapper for C-list girl, Flow so tight, it makes her lips snap. Don't get it twisted, I'm not for keeps, Just another verse, while his heart sleeps. (Chorus) I'm his, he's mine, ain't no doubt We found each other, there's no way out Locked in a groove, can't be denied This love we share, we can't hide (I'm his-his-his, And he's mine, Katy). DoubleRainbow! Posted September 5 Posted September 5 What comforts me about this song is that so far we have only heard Doechi's verse and nothing from Katy yet
JDC Posted September 9 Posted September 9 Coming this Friday with a music video https://www.instagram.com/p/C_tdzLGy07m/?igsh=bDF4MnVuZXY1cmxx
Lady Claire Posted September 9 Posted September 9 This wasn't my favorite snippet but i kinda get why they're pushing it. A famous sample and a feature that might bring a "cool" factor to it I don't think it'll chart anywhere regardless but the video might be fun!
