Into The Void Posted August 25 Posted August 25 Stealing from this thread Who is the current most popular pop boy? I think right now Post Malone
Popular Post Sheep Posted August 25 Popular Post Posted August 25 It's still probably somehow Taylor, gender is a social construct, etc ,etc. 29
sweetkiss Posted August 25 Posted August 25 charts say morgan wallen, since i dont know ha i guess hes local
Popboi. Posted August 25 Posted August 25 Abel. Bieber retired, Harry Styles is on a break, Post Malone migrated to country, Shawn Mendes might open a shrooms traffic business, Ed Sheeran flopped 2 eras in a row, Bruno isn't on album mode yet, Benson Boone has a lot to prove outside 2 Spotify magnet hits.
VioletsandRoses Posted August 25 Posted August 25 The Weeknds last album flopped. I guess he has cute hits but nothing massive since BL. Harry might smash again if he releases but yeah there's no one really dominating now 1 1

Scandalous Posted August 26 Posted August 26 none atm tbh Morgan wallen is the biggest male artist but not pop 1
Blank Space Posted August 26 Posted August 26 Harry Styles. His last album got #1 smash and won AOTY 1

Organically a lot of his streams are not hitting hard. 1
FrederickGa Posted August 26 Posted August 26 Unfortunately, Morgan Wallen Pop Wise? The Weeknd, Harry and Bruno 1

alejandreaux Posted August 26 Posted August 26 it still feels like The Weeknd. yeah he's had some misses here and there recently, but his peak and dominance still feels like the biggest of the 2020s overall so far. no pop boy has managed to touch his 2020-2021 imo. even in times where he's "flopping" for his standards, he still manages score huge hits out of nowhere (Die For You, Creepin). right now in this very moment it's prolly Post Malone tho. 1
Trent W Posted August 26 Posted August 26 (edited) Its The Weeknd Its actually shocking how the male market has not really had any buzz this decade The main ones are the weeknd, which was years ago, Harry also was years ago, Morgan is extremely local. Bieber was years ago and it was not really organic There is literally nothing going on in pop male market Edited August 26 by Trent W
BowWow Posted August 26 Posted August 26 People dissing the weeknd as if he wasn't part of the drake/kendrick feud by collabing with mf doom and future he is absolutely part of the conversation, and the pure respect he has in pop, rap and rnb is not on the level of any pop boys mentioned also how was his last album a flop? It's prob his third biggest effort after his 2020 and 2016 efforts and he was coming off overexposure. He tried to capitalise off the hype but it low-key underperformed but that's not a flop, he's clearly taking a break now ot: the weeknd in terms of actual pop culture relevance. Harry has great sales but he doesn't move the needle when it comes to trends. 1
