Both Taylor and Gaga used effective marketing strategies in selling their albums to the masses. Both were crucified by stans as well. Which was more effective and which was more egregious?

This thread is so lame. BTW's discount was Amazon's idea and not her team's. It lasted for 1 week. TTPD's endless variants featuring her iPhone voice memos lasted for 13+ weeks. You do the math.

The Amazon deal pushed more sales than all of those voice memos and live audios combined. That 1 week was extremely significant.

Honestly the variants have overshadowed any marketing strategy ever made

She has milked it like no one else has ever before

The chart achievements for TTPD without variants : still record breaking, historic numbers that other peers could only dream of

The chart achievements for BTW without 0.99 cent deal : beautiful Born Brave bus, great Born Brave bus

Both equally effective and equally forgotten except by a small select group of homosexuals

TTPD, considering that it broke a lot of records and blocked numerous projects from going #1.

Considering Amazon payed Gaga full price for all those copies sold it worked out well in Gaga's favour. :michael:

Gaga easily wins this one. The only metric in the music industry she outdid Taylor is FRAUD.

Why would it be? To stay more than 6 weeks in the top 10? One has an actual chance to stay at #1

This is not true. Taylor definitely sold 400k+ thanks to all those variants

Taylor can do the discount easily, but Gaga can't really pull off 12412 variants and still in demand.

99c will be more effective for artists in general. No one else besides taylor can pull off variants ( :toofunny3: ) except maybe bts

Rihanna also did the 0.99c deal, why not add her to the OP?  @Lagerfeld

wasn't she actually giving 1M copies away for free because Samsung "bought" them? :skull:

OT: Gaga's (I should really say Amazon's) was more effective at reeling the GP in; Taylor's is more successful to make the delulu stans purchase it again and again. I'd say the latter is more fraudulent because of this.

Sabrina's fake friendship with Taylor is the most effective selling strategy.
