Should more pop girls work with Kevin Parker?

Lagerfeld

He produced one of Gaga's signature hits, Perfect Illusion, and the Radical Optimism album for Dua, which include 3 flawless singles: Houdini, Training Season & Illusion.

What do we think? Should more pop girls run to him?

Before Radical Optimism, I would have said yes.  But that album changed my opinion on him as a producer.  Now I think it would better if he just stuck with his own Tame Impala stuff and left the girlies alone.

Dua and Gaga who are known for their gigantic dance singles were not the right match for him imo so it's really hard to say.

Yes for alt girls like Lorde and Lana Del Rey etc.

No for MPGs

I stan Tame Impala too and know that he is insanely talented, but his style is kinda not working with mainstream/MPGs

No! If they don't want to radically flop then they should absolutely not work with him.

Look at Dua! She's now forced to sell ice cream instead of promoting/performung her brand new album and giving her fans a real pop era.

NO!

He really sucks, doesn't he? :toofunny2: People listen to him to give the impression that they are edgy or alternative, when he's actually pretty basic in everything he does.

And yeah, he ought to stay away from Pop girls.

How do you expect people to say yes if the first song you mention is Perfect Illusion?

Matty Healy Inspired by boygenius Member Lucy Dacus to Start Band ...

Yikes! There's no excuse for that abomination. Like, come on, dude. What happened in that session, like how did they manage to f*** up to that extent. They even released that mess as a lead single. No shame whatsoever.

Houdini is amazing and Perfect Illusion is good, but I personally find the quality of his work for pop girls to be significantly worse than that of his own.  So, no, he should just stick to his own albums.

He is fine for singular songs like Houdini and Training Season show.

However producing a whole album by him is career suicide.

He's terrible with pop girls and his sound only works for him.

His production also flops at radio too.
