M.I.A. endorses Donald Trump

Damn she used to be one of my favs smh.

TV gif. An annoyed Wendy Williams looks left of frame as she shakes her head. She gives us a quick knowing look as if to say "can you believe what I have to put up with?", then takes a peaceful sip from a pink mug with her name on it.

Something must've happened to her in the years since AIM... You cannot tell me that the daughter of a revolutionary (and lowkey a terrorist nn), a boundary-breaking artist who was not afraid to tackle on subjects like migration, South Asian racism, religion, Wikileaks, and so on.. would end up being such a nutcase

She can believe what she wants as long as she does not shove it down her fans' throats or whatever but it's just highly astonishing how she has managed to do a complete 180 on what she once stood for.

But then again, she'd probably not support Kamala either. I've always gotten the impression that she's anti-Democrats based on her lyrics.

I swear it seems anyone that goes against Bey eventually becomes a nutjob down the line.

But I guess you have to be a nutjob to go against Bey to begin with.

Oh look. Another washed-up has-been that's angry at the "establishment" for no longer having success is supporting Trump. Are you all really surprised? :coffee2:

Her parents are Sri Lankan and she grew up there. That's the type of country Trump would label as a "sh*thole" country. Idiot.

IKR? She's like Kanye, siding with people that might be receptive to her face but totally despise her behind her back. Oh well, these peoples mind probably stopped developing during that rebellious/anti-system teenage phase... it's like they are so thrilled to be the "different birds" so to speak, that they go to the extreme to feel so "unique". M.I.A. has always flirted with the tin foil crowd so it's not like she did a 180 tho.

She's always been a nutter. People who believe in conspiracy theories or have radical views are always liable to swinging the other way. Look at Russell Brand.

Why do the MAGAts act like Trump will be some sort of savior when he did nothing to improve the country during his 4 years in office? Hell he made things worse by not taking Covid-19 seriously at first. :deadbanana2: His fans have short memories.

Literally! I stan her since 2006 and the album run from Arular to Matangi is outstanding and will forever be in my top 5 artists of my lifetime BUT everything truly went to **** from there on. I owe her my love for experimental music. Her and Ed Banger Records, Björk and the Kitsune compilations really opened my eyes and ears and I move away from listening to charts and compilations. That's why Charli is my fave too because she grew up with those exact references. Let me watch the Bring The Noize video to calm myself :jonny4:

It seems that two decades of flopping massively really got into her head

I hate that she in retrospect was right about many things at the time she got backlash for (the stuff w/ Gaga and Assange), yet she fell into such crank territory. Her views around COVID were sad to see. It really feels like socialist views are the only way to avoid falling into conspiracies over the contradictions of capitalism.

Rhyming Obama with Osama and Monsanto farmer still makes me scream though. :gaycat7:

As someone who released "Borders" and "Paper Planes" this is disappointing.
