YellowRibbon Posted August 24 Posted August 24 Taste vs All American ***** PPP vs Bad Idea Right? Good Graces vs Vampire Sharpest Tool vs Lacy Coincidence vs Ballad of a Homeschooled Girl Bed Chem vs Making the Bed Espresso vs Logical Dumb & Poetic vs Get Him Back! Slim Pickins vs Love Is Embarrassing Juno vs The Grudge Lie to Girls vs Pretty Isn't Pretty Don't Smile vs Teenage Dream As I said, S&S clears
Maxxxine Posted August 24 Posted August 24 SNS is fun, listenable, pop perfection. Guts is loud, bananees and avocadees cursive singing which I can't stand, throw that one out. 1
Lasso Posted August 24 Posted August 24 be serious. Taste vs All American ***** PPP vs Bad Idea Right? (i love p³ though) Good Graces vs Vampire Sharpest Tool vs Lacy Coincidence vs Ballad of a Homeschooled Girl Bed Chem vs Making the Bed Espresso vs Logical [NEITHER] Dumb & Poetic vs Get Him Back! Slim Pickins vs Love Is Embarrassing Juno vs The Grudge [NEITHER] Lie to Girls vs Pretty Isn't Pretty Don't Smile vs Teenage Dream
yonsé Posted August 24 Posted August 24 sabrina won this round. SOUR > emails i should never send GOD N SWEET > guts
liquiddiamonds Posted August 24 Posted August 24 GUTS had something to say about growing up and major personality with its sound It will take Sabrina more albums to catch up with Olivia. Liv is simply the better writer with the better vision 1 2
Avenue Posted August 24 Posted August 24 Guts as an album is miles better. Short n sweet has too much saccharine pop fillers that are way below the level of its singles but the massive singles of Short n Sweet bop harder than guts. Lacy >>>>>> all tracks on either albums
Ego. Posted August 24 Posted August 24 Guts is such a well made album in all regards. SNS is good but it definitely lacks the depth of guts and its noticeable when listening to the entire album, though there are some amazing tracks in there
saintspice Posted August 24 Posted August 24 Both have like 7 excellent tracks and then the rest is just okay to me. Not bad by any means but wont return to them unless I'm doing a full album listen. Taste has me gagged right now so I voted for shortie but they're pretty equal to me as I've had my moment with many songs on guts as well.
honestopinion Posted August 24 Posted August 24 I still listen to Guts every single day and never get tired of it. Short N sweet was cute yesterday but I don't have any desire to listen to it today. I love that Olivia's album has more depth and different topics and amazingly produced 2
KillingYourCareer Posted August 24 Posted August 24 GUTS has personality and Olivia sounds like a human singing. Also, it's Jack Antonoff-free. 1 1
cuteboyzay Posted August 24 Posted August 24 Short N' Sweet is just SO GOOD I'm sorry. Just bop after bop after bop and I prefer the lyricism a little more just because I'm a horny b*tch. Not only that but she really served something sooooo refreshing and the versatility is through the roof. You can tell Sabrina has an amazingggg ear for hits. GUTS is great but I preferred SOUR a little more. It felt fresh and new, and GUTS just sounds like what we've already heard from Olivia. Regardless, both great albums but Short N' Sweet Just DOES IT for me.
Acuminatus Posted August 24 Posted August 24 It's kinda like GUTS vs SOUR in that the big hits are more catchy in SOUR but the album GUTS overall is higher quality GUTS > S&S > SOUR 1
NorbertMinaj Posted August 24 Posted August 24 Why can't these two albums be appreciated for what they are? Some of you guys are weird (and not in a Republican way) 😉😛

lovely88 Posted August 24 Posted August 24 (edited) I don't think either album is that great. But I'll go with Short n Sweet for this round. Guts felt like a Sour retread, even the aesthetics were barely different. I have a feeling that it won't be highly regarded as Olivia's best work. Whereas Short n Sweet actually feels like an evolution from Emails plus it does have more stand out singles. Edited August 24 by lovely88
