There's been a wave of indian immigrants in my country in recent years and it's definitely a cultural thing. Many are very aggressively handsy, don't take no for an answer and don't respect the concept of personal boundaries whatsoever. It's also very telling that whenever a crime involving an indian makes headlines here it's always an immigrant and not an indian that was born and raised here. Don't know what it is about them but it's f*cked up

I don't see any hope, I'm very pessimistic.

Most men there are ******* disgusting it's harsh but true and the amount of women not just indians but from all over the world who visited the country were constantly harassed and some go to other countries for work and do the same thing to the women there (i've seen it with my own eyes).. absolutely vile

This has been going on for years in India, yet national leaders and lawmakers have taken little action. I believe part of the problem lies in deep-rooted misogyny within the culture. When I think of the lives lost and the horrific violence these women continue to face on a day-to-day basis, I can only grieve for them and pray for their families, knowing they may also face cultural shaming. I'm not sure what the solution is, but a much stronger deterrent is desperately needed, and part of it involves educating men about women's bodily rights and consent from a very early age.

For her sake I hope it's not true, but I read that people were looking for it 😭

Coming from an Indian background (dad is South Indian), he would never let my sisters and I visit the homeland without trusted male supervision. I remember visiting Bangalore and getting stares, as if I was walking prey. My heart goes out to any woman living in India. The world continues to fail in protecting our sisters and we seem to be assigned subhuman status in many countries and cultures . :cries:

I feel so bad for women in India, I don't like to be critical of other cultures but if women can't go out without being harassed then that is ****** up (I know sexual harrassmet and rape happens everywhere but it seems to be on a whole other level there).

Those poor Indian women, I feel so sorry for them :dancehall:

It is due to the corrupt failed judicial system in India. Rich people can publicly and arrogantly overcome judicial punishment in the light of the day without any problem
