glitch Posted August 21 Posted August 21 Maybe someone like Louis Tomlinson? Can sell out stadiums but no one streams his music. Conan Gray also seems to have a very big following for someone who doesn't feel very high profile. 4
Digitalism Posted August 21 Posted August 21 All the ones with a lot of streams who are pretty faceless. Connan Gray, Lauv, Sabrina before this era, Madison Beer
Sheep Posted August 21 Posted August 21 (edited) Lana? She's not a huge celebrity but one of the most successful recording artists on earth. If you mean the opposite where somebody is a big name but not super successful it's probably either the BTS members or declined former a-list acts like Xtina Edited August 21 by Sheep 1 1

It's giving when people swore up and down that Ariana wasn't a mpg because she debuted 5 years later than the rest of that crop of girlies. Edited August 21 by Sheep 3 1

iHype. Posted August 21 Posted August 21 Garth Brooks. Even half of America wouldn't recognize him walking down the street He is undoubtedly the biggest artist to never truly be a superstar or fully crossover to mainstream
Europe Posted August 21 Posted August 21 Maybe Cardi B? She had some hits in the past but she is unable to release an album.

She headlines the biggest festivals, her albums go #1 by default, she gets massive MPG level streams, has received lifetime achievement awards at this point, major soundtrack hits, the list goes on. 3
Romova99 Posted August 21 Posted August 21 Demi Lovato? felt like she was always behind her peers too. 4

I explained my reasoning in the post and offered alternatives, did you not read past the first word

LastGreatBloodline Posted August 21 Posted August 21 Artists like Shawn Mendes and Imagine Dragons. They might have huge GP hits but they lack a real fanbase and are nowhere as relevant as the likes of Bruno Mars, The Weeknd and Justin Bieber. 4
ariananext Posted August 21 Posted August 21 Artists who either had one/two big eras or achieved moderate success, with no big peak, for years. Demi Lovato, Camila Cabello, Shawn Mendes, Sabrina Carpenter come to my mind. There are some who are A list celebrities but not A listers in the music field, I would say people like JLo, Selena Gomez, in general child stars who achieved huge fame in other fields, transitioned to music but didn't have the same level of success there. 1
shakeyourbombom Posted August 21 Posted August 21 Zayn used to be on the track becoming one of the Main pop boys like JB. It's his own fault being so passive after the One Direction disbandment
Robburro Posted August 21 Posted August 21 Selena Gomez. Never had a large peak like Miley and Ariana yet she never really goes away. Homegirl is snatching some stable songs and hits since 2009 1
