Before Today Posted August 21 Posted August 21 Girlies so I'm mostly closeted due to societal pressure where I live but recently I found a more safe environment and I started going to gay bars now and leave my identity open to all the gays there. Problem is, I have never been gay so 'publicly' and idk how to approach someone. Any tips y'all? I've only had experience with apps. 2

fememeist Posted August 21 Posted August 21 (edited) Before going up to someone, make a nice compliment or comment about them if you can see them in whatever bars you're in. If they accept it and start talking to you more, keep the vibe going and let it ride! If not, well there's another cute guy that might be more interested than the last. you got this be yourself and be happy and safe(and don't hard on yourself if the guy rejects). dumbsparce Posted August 21 Posted August 21 Pull yourself together, fake some confidence if you doesn't come naturally to you and go tell him that you like him right in his face. No small talk, no chit chat. Just tell him you like him and if he responds positively grab him and do what u want (without the R. Kelly implications ofc)
Cheers Posted August 21 Posted August 21 "You look great! I like your shirt/hat/pants/shoes/whatever" "This is my first time here, any drink recommendations?" Honestly guys are pretty easy and aren't much about flirting. You just need to start the conversation somehow. 3

Hephaestus Posted August 21 Posted August 21 Complimenting something about them is the easiest way to approach someone imho

But the song was a bop and the way she used sex as a euphemism for the way the media objectifies her and pokes and prods at her insecurities with false headlines was clever. Had she made it a solo song or had a better artist featured, it would've been remembered as the BOP it is. The Xtina remix simply doesn't do it for me, I fear! Amirite? 6

I shall invite you over to my haus, where we can listen to the MASTERPIECE in its pure, ancestral form on iKoons or on CD like in the good old days. 2
Vespertine Posted August 21 Posted August 21 Have you tried walking into the bar in a shirt that says C** DUMP? Usually works like a charm! 1
Rihinvention Posted August 21 Posted August 21 Are you looking for friends, sex or something more serious? If you're just looking for friends, do you have a (girl) friend that you could go out with? Sometimes it's easier to break into conversations and meet people as groups. And if you're not vibing with them, or they're not vibing with you, you have the comfort of going back to just hanging out with the friend you came with. Once you've made 1-2 gay friends, it just sorta snowballs from there. It's like a domino effect. You just meet more gay guys through other gay guys. But if you've come out to a trusted female friend, I'd say go out with her. 2
