Frozen99 Posted August 20 Posted August 20 it started bad and it will stay bad.. i'd have rather hear SL, now that's a song that has really grown on me. her vocals are so grating and the production is so dull, hard pass. 1
Blade Posted August 20 Posted August 20 The live performances of it on the Joanne Tour gave me a new found appreciation for it. The live instrumentation and vocals just elevate the song.
Vespertine Posted August 21 Posted August 21 I've ALWAYS loved Perfect Illusion. I was so disappointed when the entire album didn't sound like it IN A MODERN ECSTASY!
Soda Pop Queen Posted August 21 Posted August 21 I've always liked it and never got the hate for it but then again, my taste isn't narrow and one-dimensional.
babyforlife Posted August 21 Posted August 21 its so good, the instrument is EVERYTHING if only they toned down her vocals...

Both songs aged in diametrically opposite ways. I hated PI and loved Stupid Love when they came out, but now SL reminds me of Coronavirus and is bad. 1
Sugar-Rush Posted August 21 Posted August 21 It was a risky but appreciated single choice. I'm glad she decided to go with something unexpected even if the charts weren't exactly friendly to it.
dooart Posted August 21 Posted August 21 i've always loved PI. I remember the week it came out, the count on my iTunes was like 109 plays, i was soooo obsessed. never understood the hate.
