If any of the pop girls would come with this album now, it would top critics' lists and get nominated for AOTY. I know it sounds funny when she is one of the best selling artists but she is critically very underappreciated. She's not critically underappreciated at all. She's like in the top 3 most critically acclaimed females of all time alongside Aretha and Joni. She is, however, very underappreciated by the masses, especially this generation. They gon' miss Ciccone when she gone. 1 1

tiagol88 Posted August 18 Posted August 18 Its when you truly analyze Madonnas albums that you realize all comparisons with other women just make no sense. Its also unfair to look at this album as something mainly sexual when it's really not. She knew what she was doing by naming this album Erotica, releasing the title track as a single and having songs named "Deeper and Deeper" or "Why's it so hard" and not making them about sex at all lmao. Rain still sounds amazing to this day. 1
1989 Posted August 20 Posted August 20 (edited) Not only is this Madonna's best album, it's one of the best albums of all time. Also, if I'm being totally objective here, Rain is one of the best songs I've ever heard, maybe even the best. Edited August 20 by 1989
