Honestly I considered her the music industry the moment she got several back to back 1M debuts and stay at the top quite effortlessly, virtually without lifting a finger. Even Folklore that didn't sell 1M felt like a major cultural event. And to shapeshift into different genres effortlessly and also successfully, that should be rewarded.

 

But nowadays, it feels like the GP only notice her constant regurgitating of different versions for the sake of having the #1. Outside of her fanbase, no one is impressed.. and when you even have to scam your fans out of their money (and sale) by saying a version is limited edition and only available until the end of the day, but then make it available again later and indefinitely at a lower price.. it's weird 

 

Willow selling for 39¢ was possibly the very first sign of her cheapening her legacy. But no one cared because that song was virtually irrelevant and it didn't really bother anyone since it was Christmas.

 

But to continue to buy your #1 spot 4 years later by releasing voice memos or capitalizing random letters of your song (KIM and YE ) to reference beef from the Obama administration days.. are you not embarrassed? Billboard removed UGC and merchandise bundles, so voice memos are the best you can offer 

 

It's one thing to block Billie Eilish who may or may not have shaded your environmental terrorism, but to randomly release another TTPD version GEOLOCKED for UK-only download to block Brat, or exploit your Kanye beef out of the blue the moment chart predictors had the new girl in town Chappell Roan about to overtake.. yes she's a villain   she's also very brave to be making potential enemies with all of the starlets that Gen alpha adores.
