Aside from Taylor's songwriting her level of talent is more akin to a Katy Perry or Selena Gomez level.

 

Taylor would be better off writing children's books or something. She's overrated and not a star.

Taylor has more individual skills (playing instruments) but Charli is more talented. Her creative and artistic aptitude is greater.

Again, that's nice. But it's immaterial to the discussion at hand. Nicholas Sparks is a bestselling author. Marvel has most lucrative film franchise of all time. None of these feats have anything to do with their talent or craft or anything related to artistry, really.
 

That you're bringing up these unrelated anecdotes is just a sign that you have a parasocial relationship with Taylor's perceived (and extremely deliberately cultivated) "underdog" status.

Your not going change my mind no matter what you say. We have this thread everytime someone has a hit. Last year it's was flowers the year before drives license and Taylor is still here. So, let wait to next summer and will it also be a brat summer or forgetten for next new thing?

She wrote several fantastic songs on TTPD. You can prefer Charlie, but this level of hyperbole is insane.

I'm not sure about overall, maybe leaning Taylor, but right now it's Charli by a long shot.

Obviously Taylor is extremely good at what she does, but she makes something that is palatable for the masses.

 

Charli on the other hand has always pursued her vision. It's interesting how this whole brat summer has popped off cause it's like, every album she's had has had potential to be a cult hit. Her self-titled album is incredible and diverse and experimental. She's trying all sorts of things, heaps of collaborations. She sacrifices nothing for her artistry and always let's the vision pave the way.
