Isn't Born To Die much bigger than any Ariana album? (tho Lana doesn't really do promo rollouts) What OP said about Lana is valid her catalogue is very strong with a new deep cut going viral every other week

For a gap to close, Billie or Lana would have to had the upper hand at any time in recent years. This has never been the case with either artist, even in 2019 and (presumably) 2024, where Billie was at her highest, yet still trailed behind Taylor's domination. CLOSE being the key word here. Billie's Debut album came in 2019, why the 2017 and 2018 SNEAK? On the basis of the numbers you've provided, the amount of songs/albums Billie has out. Taylor has more albums out this decade than Billie's entire career. Thanks for proving my point that Billie SURE is close to Taylor when it comes to Charts and Relevancy. 42 minutes ago, Clauss said: The title change after the backlash I changed it cause people are TOO dense here to be getting my point and are thinking as if I'm COMPARING them to T when its not the case.

Never dismissed Lana's success but if we talk about streams, Ari is not far behind

Your original thread title was "are they closing the gap on Taylor's relevancy?". My post, before you changed the thread title, proved that that gap is only getting bigger as Billie or Lana have never been more relevant and successful than Taylor in any year. So don't be mad at me for answering the question you posed. 1

Mr.X Posted August 16 Posted August 16 Taylor is not relevant. She just sells well but she doesnt not count as 'great pop' or at least hasnt for a long time now Billie and Lana have actual impact on culture and music. 1
