MTV really had the audacity to invite her and Tyla to attend, with Tinashe even presenting an award, but no performance slot. Instead we got the obligatory Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello performances nobody asked for and repetitive medleys from LL Cool J and Lenny Kravitz. 

 

"Nasty" 's viral moment was the perfect opportunity to finally give Tinashe - the rare complete package as a performer - her VMA debut. Granted, I'm well aware most people hardly care about these ceremonies these days, but I'm confident this hypothetical performance would have attracted at least some new attention.

 

Just imagine how fantastic a "No Simulation"/"No Broke Boys"/"Nasty"/ medley would have been like
