I need them to push Nissan Altima as a proper single . Arguably one of the best rap songs of the year imo , and a HIT !

exactly!!!

heard bits of this on the radio in the evenings and really enjoying the album/mixtape/whatever now.

it makes sense that she likes stuff like westside gunn and DOOM, you can hear that, but it reminded me of the more neo-soul stuff on scarlet too and it has a lot of modern rnb energy to it as well, some of it reminds me of the new tinashe record?

anyway it's really good, she'd probably be better off not hanging around on 143 tho, no one's coming out of that well

Doechii sits down with Dissect's Cole Cuchna for a song-by-song analysis of her new mixtape "Alligator Bites Never Heal." They breakdown its best lyrics, discuss its themes, title, and artwork, and talk about the pressures of the music industry, including being signed to TDE Records.

Dissections include the songs Nissan Altima, Denial Is a River, Boom Bap, Death Roll, and more.

Cole also pitches one of his musical conspiracies, linking Doechii to Kendrick Lamar's "Alright" and Busta Rhymes "Woo Ha!"

On the latest episode of Rolling Stone's The Breakdown, the Florida rapper explains how moving away from any preset expectations and carving out her own path led her to "Denial Is a River."

I'm really rooting for Doechii to get a Best New Artist nomination next friday, as well as a nomination for Best Rap Album. She deserves this.

Did she submit for Best New Artist? I thought they would hold off on that until the Debut Album . She really deserves a Best Rap Album nomination though hoping she gets it !
