The_Bling Posted August 14 Posted August 14 Because they have nothing in common so she doesn't threaten her niche, just look at how liddos treated Ava Max when she started blowing up 2 2

Digitalism Posted August 14 Posted August 14 Is media comparing Chappell to Gaga? Because the media was comparing Madge to Gaga all the time. This is more like the liddos trying to try to make Gaga look relevant. Musically there's nothing to compare between Gaga and Chappell. 1
EriKills Posted August 14 Posted August 14 Well yeah because Chappell's music and aesthetic are really not similar to Gaga's, so there's no reason to feel threatened 1
Reginald Posted August 14 Posted August 14 5 hours ago, alexrex said: Ava Maxxx Phew, the Ava Max debut was tough to endure as a multi-stan. GaR was only promoting jazz, and "up-do / ballgown" heartbreak ballads, meanwhile the fans were lashing Ava for daring to release inoffensive, lighthearted pop I am SO glad we are far from 2019, now. Diamonds & Dancefloors seemed to earn Ava a lot more respect, for her consistent quality.
ericcartman Posted August 14 Posted August 14 Madonna stans are usually mean and bitter for some reason. Madonna herself is like that so I guess it rubs off on them. They are mean to Mariah, Janet, and others too. Gaga wasn't their first target and won't be their last. (Or maybe she will be since we all aren't getting any younger) Gaga stans are annoying but yeah it's been refreshing to see them support Chappell. Gaga tends to be a nicer person so maybe it rubs off. Gaga fans, while delusional and annoying, are generally nice. 1
Youngbae Posted August 16 Posted August 16 (edited) This thread offers a very lopsided view of the whole situation which is kinda funny to me since it's been 10+ years. If Gaga was 100% right and Madonna 100% wrong, you wouldn't have to be like this. Madonna DID support Gaga when she was a newbie, complimented her multiple times, and it wasn't until the 2011 VMAs that her attitude started to change. Not her fault, that was a very public slap in the face to someone who did nothing but support her. Are you gonna explain this? And then, if Gaga was always such a big champion of new artists, how do we explain her attitude towards Porcelain Black, Natalia Kills or anyone wearing, umm, green hair? Multiple viral Twitter posts where Gaga fans accuse Katy, Nicki, Ava Max etc. of jacking her style, sometimes to their faces? It wasn't until the big shift in her career that she took a classier approach. As an outsider, I did chuckle at the bitter and old remark though. 35 vs 50, not exactly a big difference in gay terms. eclipsed Posted August 16 Posted August 16 Girl I was like 12 years old fighitng a bunch of 50 year olds in 2008 it was very weird looking back 1
LikeaRebel Posted August 16 Posted August 16 Gaga taking "inspiration" from Madge went on for a couple of years, it wasn't just one outfit or incident. Also, nothing I've seen/heard from Chappell has been as egregious as the Alejandro video or BTW. 2
