Its not a surprise most of the folks here are defending the plantation princess...

who also had an antebellum era lifestyle blog.

While i agree with a lot of things being said against Blake, like how tone-deaf she is while promoting the movie, it's also fascinating how fast and hard people switch on celebrities. And it's not even officially confirmed what the actual problem with Justin Baldoni is, just "insider informations" and theories. Like she's now critized for every little thing and everyone interprets something bad in the most insignificant situations.

Also the plantation wedding: That's awful and ignorant, but why didn't people care the LAST TWELVE YEARS? I heard about it for the first time because of the IEWU drama. Blake and Ryan had dozen of successful movies since then, especially the latter.

Black people did...

Maybe you're not around the right people because I heard about that nasty wedding and her antebellum south lifestyle blog over 8 yrs ago.

Folks that DIDN'T like her and her husband back then are AGAIN bringing it up rightfully so. She's always been a nasty piece of work.

This isn't a witch hunt, its the chickens coming to roost.

I'm so f*****g tired of people trying to fish anger out of Black Americans. Most will NOT give af. This is not 1855. Who gives af??? Now, if she gets "canceled," people will later blame Blacks for it. Leave us tf alone!

she always gives me mean girl vibe

that interview she did with Parker Posey made me so uncomfortable

I had to google what a plantation wedding is bc I was perplexed as to why someone would choose to get married next to a power plant :rip:

I'm kinda surprised by this level of backlash. Isn't she kind of a C-List celeb? I've never actually seen her in anything :rip:

I think it's more that she's talking about superficial things like Britney Spear's dress and the bombastic nature of the character she is playing as opposed to the very serious issue of domestic abuse (and the core subject of the movie) - whereas her co-star is instead shining a light on this issue (and not her). Which is sending a conflicting message to victims of domestic violence who are intended to draw strength from the movie. I don't know, that's just my take 🤷‍♂️

I'm not following her or this press tour that intentionally, but isn't it a normal part of red carpets for artists to talk about the outfits they're wearing. This just feels like another hate train without much substance to it

To those of us who are watching the contrasting narratives presented in interviews by the two separate leads during the course of promoting this movie, it is apparent they are not singing from the same hymn sheet. Add to that they are almost never interviewed together despite playing a couple in the movie, it's clear something is up (if you want to define that as a "hate train" then those are your words and not something I personally agree with).

Forgive me, I know this might come off as insensitive and uncalled for, but God that man is fiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiineeeeeeeeeeee.

I've never cared for her and always found her kind of basic but this wave of backlash feels very... orchestrated.

Hmm no I would say she is A- list. Gossip Girl was big and made her a celebrity, and she's starred (like, properly starred as in the starring role) in major studio films like The Age of Adaline and The Shallows that did decently, now this movie she is promoting rn is huge. She's also married to Ryan Reynolds which automatically makes her part of A list circles.

I think judging by the performance of IEWU she actually could've been a much bigger movie star over the last decade but she didn't act in enough roles.

She is also very prominent at the MET Gala each year which affords her an enormous amount of publicity. So yeah, she's definitely, regrettably, A-List.

I saw someone call her an A-List celebrity, B-List actress which makes sense. She isn't exactly known for her acting skills while her films do ok but she stays relevant due to her marriage, fashion and friendships.

Things like these make me feel glad I'm not as chronically online now because this seems like such a non-issue to discuss

This is being way blown out of proportion. Ya need to do your research the real red flag is Justin Baldoni. Not Blake.

This awful woman was in dire need of some reality check. So glad people realized what a mean bully she is. Tone deaf, arrogant, full of herself. And always thinking she is better than everyone else and always playing the victim role. Justin Baldoni is a real class act for handling the press tour like he did. I hope her stupid hair line flops.

We will forgive her if she learns her lessons and apopogizes to all the victims she bullied and mistreated over the years (which will not happen because she is a ******* narcissist).

A bully? How? As if Justin isn't tone deaf, arrogant and full of himself either. A zionist and wanted to the tell a domestic abuse story from the point of view of the abuser to humanize him like ??? None of the cast liking him and the film rights being bought from him and then on top of that his unhinged social media presence and him hiring Johnny Depps lawyer then all of the sudden this smear campaign coming out towards Blake. This is all orchestrated and y'all are buying into it

How is this orchestrated when there's literally video evidence of Blake being stupid and bullying other people? She smeared her career on her very own.
