idgi, watched some of the interviews in the OP and there is nothing wrong about them? it's the typical Hollywood promotion Q&A.

Her co-star is the one being unnecessarily deep about the movie :rip:

I watched some of the clips and I do kind of agree now lol. The way he's speaking like "this is a story to shine a light on women" is giving "I'm about to be exposed for domestic violence in my personal life". He's overcompensating for something. Also he speaks in cult leader cadence. :deadbanana2:A mess.

"#1 on Amazon" :rip:. Ok.

Amazon Prime. "Atlas" also topped Netflix Global charts

I can't stand these "we hate her now!" internet bandwagons for absolutely no reason other tearing down women due to jealousy.

We all remember Anne Hathaway. Let that be a lesson.

I've seen people say "what about how the cast of That 70's Show all blacklisted Topher and then wrote a statement to defend their rapist friend. We don't know what's going on here with anybody

Yeah, like I said there's just more to the story! I don't feel strongly towards a side either way, but hiring Depp's PR crisis made me side eye what's up with Baldoni.

Wait, why are people mad? I watched that one comparison and didn't see any issue.

This is the weirdest controversy from the last few years. The internet needs to chill

These are just jobless people who have way too much time in their hands :rip:

I've seen one of her clips to find out why people are mad. They do have a point. She was acting really bizarrely flippant and immature to some serious questions that should be pretty easy to answer (or at least feign sympathy about.)

That said, I feel like the root of a lot of this scrutiny in the first place is that people with "high brow" taste think Blake is basic & tacky and doesn't deserve to be a movie star. :rip:

Btw knowing know that he hired Johnny Depp's PR, any negative story about Blake to come out should be treated with ultimate skepticism.

The conflating of this press with the director's hiring of Depp's crisis team is a way to avoid accountability for her behavior.

If she had as much say as she's implied and her vision for the character was so misaligned with the allegedly abusive director, why didn't she leave the film?

If she has as much money as is claimed, why is she afraid of a defamation lawsuit to explain what really went down on that set?

Aren't PR firms kind of like lawyers? In that they'll represent anyone who can afford them even if the person is good or bad? I would assume he just got the best PR people in Hollywood instead of actively seeking out Depp's PR people.

Y'all acting like it's a coordinated terrorist attack. She's been saying stupid **** for the past two days and people are deservedly trashing her.

We get it, she's playing a florist, but wearing floral theme dresses and saying "wear your florals with your bestie and go see my movie ;)" when the movie is about DV is soooo ****** up.

It is weird behavior. At the same time the whole film is also being marketed as a romance with hints of domestic violence. The trailer made me uncomfortable, in the sense that they really highlight the love triangle and love story between the two characters instead of whatever subplot regarding abuse or violence. It's clear the studio decided to market this to a female audience as a tragic romance story (haven't read the book, don't know its tone). It wouldn't surprise me Blake is just going with this pitch It's givin 50 shades of grey in the housewife romantic fantasy sense, but with domestic violence in the middle instead of BDSM…… whats up with these projects

people are comparing Blake to JLo but even Jlo's domestic violence movie wasn't this confusing with marketing

The movie is not "about" DV. DV is part of the story, but it's ultimately a romance. That's how the book always been marked as.

How Blake sees the movie and the character is much more in line with how author and most readers do than Justin.

The point is that these PR firms are very slimy people, who use shady tactics to clean up someone's image. The fact that he felt the need to hire them in the firdt place should be a big red flag.

Was this feud a PR stunt that has horribly backfired :deadbanana4:

I think the problem with Blake is the film is about domestic violence and she is promoting like it is a rom-com. The male director is the only cast member who is promoting the film the right way. Also, she deserves to be dragged for doing a COLLEEN HOOVER adaption, like no one wanted that nonsense. At least Justin wanted to highlight the effects of DV but it was clear from the film, Lively made sure it was a romance film.

What good PR would come from the entire cast pretending to hate the director or co-star nnn - I think it would've been better for the cast (if they do hate him) to pretend to get along for the sake of marketing. The reason this whole situation has blown up and Blake is getting exposed and dragged is that people believe she iced him out.

I hadn't heard of this movie before this scandal and I imagine a lot of others hadn't
