Do you guys think that Britney & Rihanna will be eventually forced to drop an album?

To fullfill their contracts , could be the real R9 and B10 or just a collection of rejects and call it an album.

Same for other artists that haven't dropped an album in years like Selena, now Katy with 143, Xtina, Adele, etc

People are hungry for a new Rihanna Album while no one cares about Britney given how badly Glory performed.

Glory wasn't a flop, I am talking about the label terms not what people 'want'

I'd take one Britney album (with her full control - Blackout, In the Zone, Glory) over Rihanna's whole discography

Perhaps not a lot happened in your life the past 8 years but Britney had an event or two. Sold a milli+ copies of her book first week for instance x

I don't think the label can force either of them to fulfill their contracts. Especially when both show no signs of releasing anything.

Both will release their farewell albums at some point and call it a day without any contractual obligations

Contracts exist and the buyout is not as easy as people think

Britney was always a better seller at selling her personal life over her music so??? :priceless:

I doubt they could be forced, otherwise they would've released already, it's been 8 years :rip:

Not for Rihanna no.  She's making too much money in beauty/skincare for Rocnation to worry about her making new music. Jay Brown and Jay-Z run RocNation but Jay Brown is also Rihanna's business manager so he still makes 20% on all her deals. He could care less about music revenue. And Jay-Z stopped using Rihanna as a cash cow years ago and was evident when he allowed her to obtain her masters.

I think it's public knowledge that Britney is in the middle of recording an album. If you're a fan of hers you know what's going on. So it'll probably be a massive comeback for her. It's Britney Spears. Be for real

what about her record deal tho, do you think born again and the other song was because of the label?

I think that if they ever release another album it's because they want to, they have more than enough money to buy themselves out of their contracts

She recorded LIft Me Up because she wanted to in honor of Chadwick Boseman. It was just the right opportunity at the right time.

buying yourself out it's not just money and it's not that easy for an A list celebrity

I thought nobody cared about BRITNEY? L :rip:

Britneys contracts were the product of a human trafficking ring. No contract is getting enforced, her comeback will be on her own terms. :rip:

Britney Spears is one the best selling female artists of all time, stop digging and sniffing your fingers!

OT: the answer is no for Britney and for Ri idk actually, pressure maybe, idk about forced.

An album of new material is never happening for either of them unless they want to do it. The days of them rushing to turn in an album are long long long gone, for different reasons for each one of them ofc. Who knows what kind of compilations their labels can come up with though.

As for contracts, Britney's was signed when she was under the conservatorship, so that should be terminated. As for Rihanna, she could buy herself out.
