pepsimanvn Posted August 13 Posted August 13 This should be an interesting scenario. What do you'll think of this and how likely ? If not TS12, will this collab ever happen?
Gelato Posted August 13 Posted August 13 I think it's probable. She knows when to reinvent herself or try something new and while TTPD's commercial performance is outstanding, its critical reception was a slight regression on her last few releases
BANKS Posted August 13 Posted August 13 (edited) seems like something Taylor would seek out. wouldn't surprise me, because she likes to play the game. Dan would probably do it for the money and opportunity. Olivia would release Traitor 2.0. Spoiler if this really did happen, it wouldn't surprise me and i would immediately recall this thread. RatGod Posted August 13 Posted August 13 Depends on when TS12 is made/released. If she's working on it right now it's 1000% going to be jack antonoff again but if it's after the re-recordings are done there's a better chance she finally ditches him.

Twizzy Posted August 13 Posted August 13 Taylor would've already worked with him if she wanted to, but she hasn't. Since Sour, Taylor's dished out two full length albums. Why would she decide to work with Dan Nigro after he's already attached himself as a regular on Olivia's credits? Because he's also seeing success with Chappell too? Is that the logic
KatyPrismSpirit Posted August 13 Posted August 13 Dan Nigro is eons ahead of Jack Antonoff so I would be here for it! 1
Kayseri Mantisi Posted August 13 Posted August 13 if Taylor hasn't worked with any new producers since 2020 to reinvent herself or try new genres, what makes you think she'll go for Dan Nigro now?
YellowRibbon Posted August 13 Posted August 13 She should steal HAIM's producers for an alt pop record 2
Popboi. Posted August 13 Posted August 13 (edited) She should find someone completely unexpected, like working with Aaron and Bon Iver after Lover. There's no doubt she'll include Jack as she probably started writing TS12 already, but we're likely still 2 years away from that. Edited August 13 by Popboi.

I think the fact that he's been instrumental in creating the two biggest MPGs to debut this decade is pretty indicative that he knows where pop music is heading.

scottstreet Posted August 13 Posted August 13 Doubtful. The deja vu / Olivia Rodrigo situation probably burned that bridge forever.
smartalek22 Posted August 13 Posted August 13 I would actually give it a listen and hopefully enjoy it
Klein Posted August 13 Posted August 13 Even if they could come up with something great, it's never happening. Dan has associated himself with Olivia and after all the efforts to distance themselves from each other, I am 100% sure that Taylor will not work with someone that would link her to Olivia again. Same reason why I'm 100% sure Olivia is never working with Jack or Aaron. Spoiler TS12's producers will depend on when it's released. If she's already working on it and planning for a release in the near future, it'll be Jack and Aaron again cause she doesn't have the time to seek out new producers while on tour. But if she doesn't plan on releasing it before the end of 2025, then I'm absolutely sure we'll get new producers. Taylor knows she can do whatever she wants and be successful, but it's been clear through her entire career that she takes criticism seriously. Therefore, I'm 99% sure that the two main criticisms of TTPD (too long and still the same producers) will inform what she'll do for TS12.
JoJo Posted August 13 Posted August 13 (edited) Dan Nigro was a lot more vocal about his annoyance with the credit debacle, so I doubt it. Taylor is also very comfortable with Jack, so I can't imagine her abandoning him for a producer who she hasn't worked with before just because he worked on two of the biggest pop debuts of the decade. Not when 90% of Olivia's songs have the exact same structure and buildup
