computer.boy Posted August 12 Posted August 12 Third single from their upcoming album, out August 30th. Preview: (Falling Asleep Preview) 1
computer.boy Posted August 12 Author Posted August 12 Led by husband-and-wife duo, Jean-Philip Grobler and Patti Beranek, synth-pop group St. Lucia released "Utopia" back in 2022. Equal parts colorful disco, 70s funk, and 80s pop, the album is a luminous palette of synths, pulsating with vibrant sonics that have come to characterize St. Lucia's genre-defying career.
ThehushSound Posted August 12 Posted August 12 Seems like another bop, I don't wanna get ahead of myself but this could be my favorite song of the three we have heard so far. The strings are given a Boney M. Vibe.
computer.boy Posted August 13 Author Posted August 13 I love the artwork and the preview sounds really good!
ThehushSound Posted August 30 Posted August 30 Favorite song yet. According to the credits on the end of the video the album is Fata Morgana: Dawn. seems like this album is coming in sections (like Utopia) or is part of a collection/series. 1
computer.boy Posted August 30 Author Posted August 30 Sweet, I don't mind the EP's strategy tbh. Aly & AJ are credited as background vocals, how cool. They recorded together some material last year, I think. Hopefully we'll get a feature in the upcoming EP!

I'm curious to see how this roll out goes we already have a quarter of the album at this point, if they stick with the typical 11-12 tracks
ThehushSound Posted September 5 Posted September 5 (edited) I'm absolutely obsessed with this track one of my top tracks of 2024. As someone who often feels like their life is one giant existential crisis I love the lyrics and the fact they are set to an upbeat, melodic pop track. Edited September 5 by ThehushSound 1
