Have you ever bleached your hair?

I didn't think it'd be so hard to mantain platinun hairr, my hair used to be a sandy golden brown which I love, but I went ahead and buzzed it all off.

And I'm trying to stay blonde for then rest of the year.

I use 20 Vol + BlondeMe +  Redken Bond Protector and  Olaplex #3., but not overlapping the hair is almost impossible.

Many times in the past but I stopped eventually. I had it silver/white for a while and kinda liked how it looked with dark roots

I bleached it a couple of times in lockdown times, after I shaved it

I really liked it tbh I often think about doing it again

I did once. I didn't have the confidence to rock it so I shaved it all. The only thing I had going on to feel better about it is that I could say I shaved my hair at 25 like Brit. And I ended up digging the shaved look too.

I do it constantly since around 2 years. My hair is always beautiful clean platinum blonde with no oranges or hot roots. It's all about the product. I recommend first using bleach powder with 30vol (if you have strong hair and it's dark), the result should be so bright yellow almost white. And then using actual color with 20vol. I'm using alfaparf brand for all powder, bleach and color. And I highly recommend it, they have good formula that cares for your hair.

I really want to but I have nice healthy hair and bleach scares me

Never

Yes, often.

I'd recommend you switching to Igora Vario Blond Plus and 12% Cream Peroxide (I have brown hair and this strips it of all colour)

Afterwards I'd follow with a Platinum toner if that's the shade you're after.

once for this youtube video me and my friends did i kinda liked it even though it looked terrible lol

Yeah. Why didn't you just tone it again? When I did blonde, I would mix 2 different shades of Wella toners, and it would leave my blonde looking a little more on the pale side which I liked and helped get rid of that brassy color.

yes and lemme tell you that having thick but incredibly dry wavy dark brown jewish hair is a recipe for DISASTER if you're trying to bleach it at home :deadbanana4: and that's regardless of whether you have someone helping you. and regardless of how experienced they are too! I've sworn since the last time I bleached my hair (july 2022) that never again will I do it at home! if I ever do it again, it'll be in a salon lol

Yeah I've been blonde for close to 7 years now. Upkeep is a ***** and expensive and my hair is still damaged. It's worth it to me though! :-*

No, I'm not a baguette

Well yes since I've been purple, blue, bright blue, pink and now I'm platman blonde

I've been dying my hair since I was 15 im currently 32. I guess I got lucky. But I recommend lighting instead it takes longer but it looks better and it healthier in long run.

Going from 🩵 blue blonde took 10 months but worth it

And yes my hair is still thick and healthy :bird:

Yes when I was 14. I was obsessed with Madonna. I didn't realise when I did it that no male at my school had ever bleached their hair before. It was considered highly controversial and people were openly hostile about it. It seemed to open a gateway though as shortly afterwards some males (whom I did not know) began to get streaks and a girl who I had grown up with observed it was because of me and I was a harbinger of change.

my hair is currently at this stage:
