Kukai Posted August 10 Posted August 10 1. She's 39 and a mother and is trying to make a pop music comeback in an industry that is notoriously ageist 2. She took big risks with 143, releasing two solo singles produced by an unpopular producer that sound nothing like the current top 20 on billboard. She didn't have a famous KPOP girl group, a movie or a young popular female pop star to rely on unlike others 3. Teenage Dream is still out-streaming most of ATRL's fave's albums (some of which are barely scraping 1 million daily streams despite being released this year) For someone who is allegedly 'over', according to homosexuals on a pop music forum, she sure seems to attract a lot of attention But as Katy herself said, karma keeps receipts. So trust that we will be watching like a hawk when some y'all faves release their future albums and any sign of floppage will be ruthlessly addressed 1 6 12 2 44

Especially considering the material isn't even close to good. It actually is. She chose to work with a producer knowing that she could get potential backlash. Did the risk pay off? We will see with 143 but artists have to take risks sometimes. And the material not being good is subjective. 2 4 2 17

Witnessed ET Posted August 10 Posted August 10 This site mostly attracts a certain demographic of catty gays, you look at the majority type of members in this forum and you realize that those kind of people have always had a history of hating on Katy, whether it be their own projection, or as people who take stan culture way too seriously and take her as this mortal enemy popstar just because she's had "feuds" or "rivalry" with other popstars they stan. The doctor luke producing credits thing is just another excuse which acted as a perfect weapon to justify their hate. 8 3 1 7

MP3 Posted August 10 Posted August 10 Luke or not, she would have received the same amount of hate and I think it's unfair 4 4

Wicked Posted August 10 Posted August 10 This is a site about corporate pop music, specifically from female artists. One of the biggest female artists in that realm is shitting the bed on all fronts and you don't want anyone to discuss it here? 3 3

Popular Post $ebert Posted August 10 Popular Post Posted August 10 (edited) Oh poor Katy… lol She deserves the hate honesty, WW being produced by an abuser is so hypocrite. She didn't give a f***, why would she care about her project? 1. that's not ageism. What people do to Madonna is ageism. 2. that's not a "risk" is a stupid CONSCIOUS decision. 3. She's good for a throwback. She's incapable to have a vision and artistry, she's just generic in these days. Oh you should talk about the hate katycats have towards Kesha, calling her names, commenting on her own reels, tik tok stuff about KP ans Luke is gross. Y'all are just hypocrites. AshleyLovescats887 Posted August 10 Posted August 10 (edited) Every single artist on here gets dragged and strays, this is pretty normal as Katy is currently very hated AND controversial AND popular AND we get more news about her almost every week, so this is literally a goldmine, or a DRAGmine. Edited August 10 by AshleyLovescats887 Girl i am ******* dumb i can barely type out these messages without ******* up the sentence 1

"Unpopular producer" - he's a freaking r****t "Sound nothing like current top 20 on billboard" - well because they sound like songs that should've come out a long time ago - WW sounds like something from 2019 & Lifetimes sounds like something from 2015-2016, so both are dated 10 minutes ago, Kukai said: But as Katy herself said, karma keeps receipts. Well, yeah, karma keep receipts and it literally nosedived Katy's career after that lyric was released 6 2 3
