Anyone learning a language around here?

I'm learning Arabic right now and it's kind of fun/hard, and thought a thread/lounge like this for people studying a language would be nice to have on ATRL :khalyan: What language/s are you learning? Maybe you can find a study partner here!

Currently headed to C1 French for my job :gaygacat5: Listening is my biggest weakness, but reading comprehension and speaking are a bit of a slap.

I'm learning Japanese right now. The Kanjis were a pain at the beginning but I got through it. Now grammar is the real struggle though :tornado:

Yeah I have seen other language learners saying that wanting to give up (several times!) is part of it. You just have to promise yourself to always come back :swim:

Last year I took a 2-month break due to work, and then had to slowly ease myself back into learning a little bit everyday

I wanna learn Italian and Spanish. Italian because I would love to experience Italy as a non-tourist and Spanish because of the men and because It's such a widespread language.

I have a degree in Foreign Languages and Business Communication; my German level is B2 I guess, although I still need to enrich my vocabulary.

So these are the languages that I am willing to improve from now on: German, Spanish (I took Spanish classes in high school, and I know I can effortlessly achieve a C1 level), and Bulgarian (my parent's native language).

when i was started self-studying Japanese like over a decade ago, my head could not get around the idea of relative clauses and the sentence order. like how can you have a whole ass sentence in front of a single word. :rip:

i guess it was so different from my native languages so it took time to wrap my head around it. but aside from that i thought grammar was the easiest part of Japanese.
