Rino Posted August 9 Posted August 9 now that Lifetimes is out and we got a general taste of what's coming, do you think Katy's new era is going to do better than her last one? reminder that Smile spent 4 weeks on Billboard 200
GraceRandolph Posted August 9 Posted August 9 After listening to Woman's World and Lifetimes I'm gonna say no. 2
TaylorsSquad Posted August 9 Posted August 9 I don't think 143 is even going Top 10 because she ruined all her animosity by working with Dr. Luke. It'll chart for maybe 2-3 weeks if she's lucky.
zuper Posted August 9 Posted August 9 No. While Smile is a flop, it had career highlights (Cry About It Later, Harvey's in Hawaii, Never Really Over and Tucked). 143 will do worse because the two singles are bad af. She could recreate Teenage Dream with Dr. R*** but decided to create puke. 1
cyberraga Posted August 9 Posted August 9 No. Mind you Smile only has about 380m streams without the last second addition of 1.5 year old droplet singles
Infernal Paradise Posted August 9 Posted August 9 The way the bar keeps getting lowered and she's still struggling to clear it every time 4
Støned Posted August 9 Posted August 9 I'm afraid not. It will peak at #14, and depart the chart after 3 weeks. 143 indeed. 4
YourFavoriteWeapon Posted August 9 Posted August 9 I can see it charting like #11-77-194-OUT and I'm being generous.
blueberries Posted August 9 Posted August 9 no it'll debut somewhere at #7-#15 and drop out of the charts in 2 weeks
AshleyLovescats887 Posted August 9 Posted August 9 most likely not, but who knows. maybe her third single is going to be her another "Never Really Over" hit but very unlikely
Gorjesspazze9 Posted August 9 Posted August 9 Definitely not. No one in my social circles even know Katy Perry still makes music. And I don't think the younger music fans are looking forward to it. If the single made no noise, I don't think the album will either
FrederickGa Posted August 9 Posted August 9 The fact that SMILE sounds like a masterpiece after the 2 singles I feel bad for her.. running back to Dr.Luke for that
Luckitty Posted August 9 Posted August 9 she will be lucky to debut in the top 10 smile debuted with 50k, most of its sales came from pure sales, and that was 4 years ago a lot of her fans have moved on to newer pop girls since then
ChooseyLover Posted August 9 Posted August 9 I do feel like all the antagonizing and bad press translated into attention and her fans will stand up for her so it will pull better pure sales than Smile. But I don't see it having long term success on the charts.
