Katy Pats, are you scared about Lifetimes performance?

Recommended Posts

It feels like a lot of Katy Kats are putting a lot of stock and hope in Lifetimes chart performance. Many have expressed that it will be her make or break moment for this era (as she has had many others throughout the second half of her career). Do you feel the stan pressure for her to do well with this single and what are your realistic expectations for this songs chart performance. What would make you happy and satisfied as a stan?

There's literally no hype, she will most likely flop...

I think they already gave up on commercial or critical success and just trying to play it cool like: "let's enjoy the music and ignore the negativity, we missed her so much :sistrens: 143"

Spoiler

so basically this:

am i "scared"? no, bc even tho i absolutely love pop culture and music i'm not that invested.

however, i wish her the best. happy for her if she succeeds, unbothered if she doesn't. regardless, i'll stream the song regularly if i like it.

no, i've accepted that she's commercially over, at least when it comes to the performance of current material, not talking about legacy, touring or other business endeavors. i'm just grateful she's still doing what she's doing, releasing music, putting in effort in everything. i love her.

Katy kats have been used to flops for 6 years, idk why they would be scared by another one.

I think it can be a radio/retail/bar type sleeper hit but WW shat all over the era I fear

It's still crazy to me how hard she fell off. I use to be a Katy fan, but not so much anymore. The music hasn't been good in a while, the last album of hers I bought was Smile. TBH, I think they know she's not going to be a MPG anymore.

They also put a lot of stock and hope into the Dr Luke comeback single and we saw what happened

people who get "scared" by the prospect of their fav flopping are extremely concerning individuals:rip: no one in the real world actually cares about numbers or #1s.

Implying that Kats specifically are scared that Katy will flop is especially comical considering Katy has been flopping for nearly a decade. Any remaining fans obviously aren't stanning because they expect numbers from the (first) Obama administration - they clearly like her "brand" of pop music and enjoy the nostalgia from her big hits.
