Do you check your hairline/thickness on a daily basis? Be honest.

Well, sisters? Do you?

I catch myself checking my hairline and the thickness of my hair on an almost daily basis. Not obsessively. Just when I'm moisturizing at night.

My hairline hasn't started receding and I haven't experienced hair loss. I'm dreading the day it starts because I'm positive I have a weird shaped head :gaycat6:

I'm afraid that would pointless for me. My hairline has been receding for a while now.

I was blessed with a nice full thick head of hair:foxaylove2: watch i go bald bragging

No but I did take a dna test and found out I don't have the balding gene. I have a full head of hair and have long dyed ginger 3c curly hair. Hairs in knotless box braids rn

Not really no lmaooo!!!

I have a lot of hair but it's even crazier when I come it out ngl.

Not obsessively, I'm aware it's more or less inevitable

I didn't know you could do that :chick2:

What's the purpose of the test if you can't do anything about it?

I hope this isn't rude to ask, but have you shaved your head? If not, will you?

I fear my head is too lumpy to be bare like that. Maybe I won't be as self conscious by that point.

To be fair, I think it's quite common for men to have anxiety over hair loss. Most men have had hair their whole lives so it can become a big part of their identity/how they see themselves. Added onto the fact that balding men are often ridiculed in media and by members of society, hair loss can be quite a stressful thing to go through.

a few years ago someone told me i had a receding hairline and i got super insecure for awhile, checking it frequently.
but then i looked at some pics of me as a child and it is literally the same.  :suburban:

so i dont check it anymore.

You can easily get tests for almost any relevant gene these days. Cancers, illnesses, alcoholism, even personality traits. Good to know if you are aware of any potentially hereditary illnesses in your family

My dad is bald (well I think from memory, I haven't seen him in years kii). I take Finasteride just to be on the safe side tho. Don't think I'm receeding yet and I'm 29 next week.
