Actually, they're about equal. Maybe I like Chappell's lyrics and melodies a bit more but she has so few songs still.

Chappell is just more interesting in her writing, more ambitious and believable. Taylor just sounds too much like the Twilight novels.

idk, chappell's a clever lyricist, and her existing output in that lane is pure fun. she can also pull off something more emotional as well. she hasn't tried with something a bit more profound as of yet tho and I think we need to give her some time to see if and how she will do with that

 

when taylor tries to be fun, she fails. but she also fails when she's trying to be profound (to me always). so I'm not picking her
