Relampago. Posted August 6 Posted August 6 Not gonna lie, I like the album still but Brat siphoned what little hype from the gays it had, rightfully so 1 2 1
Parallel Posted August 6 Posted August 6 She needs to make a Greedy and go the Timbaland-esque route. DL3 will be her Loose 1
Safe&Sound Posted August 6 Posted August 6 Sadly her time is over British popgirls dont have longevity in international scene They will have cute one and a half era, then fade quickly Like Leona with Spirit, Zara with So Good, Ellie with Halcyon Days/LMLYD/early Delirium era She will still have cute UK hits though, I can see These Walls peaking inside Top 30 in official UK chart The next one hitting will probably be Jade
despy Posted August 6 Posted August 6 (edited) should've stayed w her previous management team we fear! Edited August 6 by despy

She set the bar into the stratosphere and ended up in a completely different multiverse, I mean This is so true! Had it not been for citing those artists as inspiration for the album, I think I would've listened to RO more often but the constant thought of "Where is the Britpop?" keeps nagging me when I play it 1 1
Cain Posted August 6 Posted August 6 A complete bomb and I can't believe there's not being ANYTHING done about it, neither her, her father nor Warner seem concerned with the trajectory of this era and I wonder why No 4th single, no music video, no performances, no deluxe edition, no tour dates Like girlie you are in the absolute trenches and you're doing nothing to get yourself out of them 2 1 1
Hephaestus Posted August 6 Posted August 6 (edited) I blame her father, he's clearly there just for the ~vibes~ and paycheck Miss Dua get immediately in touch with your label A&R and find a new manager challenge, do that challenge Edited August 6 by Hephaestus 1
Paddy Posted August 6 Posted August 6 It's not an album that one would listen to constantly on repeat. It doesn't have a reply value unless you're in a certain mood and let's be honest for Radical Optimism it really is a certain mood. 1
mike_int Posted August 6 Posted August 6 (edited) I'm Dua fan and I couldn't care less. I like the album, listen to it almost daily. She is selling out venues within minutes so Im sure she is fine getting those millions ;) Looking forward to deluxe re-release ;) Edited August 6 by mike_int 2 1

Chart positions are nice but selling out venues, being face of luxury brands, endorsements ... that what brings money in. And all of that without need to exploit her personal life or relying on beef with her peers and unnecessary drama for tabloids 3 1
Dolce Vita Posted August 6 Posted August 6 pop emergency. she needs to call danja and make the successor to blackout already. then jump on sympathy is a knife remix to get the poppers gays back on her side. 1 2

extra_ordinary Posted August 6 Posted August 6 I was going to say, what about adding Dance The Night to RO, but it's no longer charting
Migs Posted August 6 Posted August 6 (edited) It's really sad to see how this era turned out. Houdini, Training Season and even Illusion had massive potential but they played all their cards wrong. She should've kicked off the era in January or February with Houdini, then TS in April. Anyways, it is what it is. At least she's selling out her concerts. If she re-releases the album with a banger, maybe she can save the era. Either way, I think she'll be fine by the time DL4 comes out. Edited August 6 by Migs
