Kukai Posted August 4 Posted August 4 (edited) Lady GaGa and Charli XCX have the same target demographic. Now that we've heard some snippets from LG7, do you think it'll do better than Brat on the charts? Edited August 4 by Kukai 1
TedLasso Posted August 4 Posted August 4 We havnt even gotten a full song, a full verse, a full chorus… were hungry
Mr. Stratus Posted August 4 Posted August 4 Nope, but at least she looks like she's going to be bold this time and go all out with production. Bombing like with radio fodder like 143, that Ava album, radical etc is way more embarrassing. Hope J2 OST has a slower original ballad song on it hihi 1
Badgalbriel Posted August 4 Posted August 4 I don't think so. Despite the small debut numbers, BRAT is holding up really good.
Jay07 Posted August 4 Posted August 4 Gaga has a bigger dedicated fanbase so it will debut bigger. After that, we have to see if something catches on.
Kill Me Posted August 4 Posted August 4 Isn't Brat already on track to spend more weeks in the top 10 than any gaga album since TFM? BTW spent 4 weeks in the top 10 after debuting with 1M* so it's a NO unless she surprises us all by miraculously releasing her second most successful album.

Gaga's time in the sun as a consistent mainstream chart topper has passed (but she's still as relevant as ever bc of her movies), but at least she's gonna create a body of work that can be respected. It'll have a comparatively huge first week (over 200k, up to 350k depending on the rollout and promo), a large second week drop, and then hang around in the lower end of thee BB200 for about a year, but with respect and acclaim. That's the best you can hope for when youre no longer part of *the* zeitgeist (and no female artist as many years into their career as Gaga is bigger than that besides Taylor and Beyonce) 1
Cheers Posted August 4 Posted August 4 Only for the first week. Then it's going to be competing with Katy's 143. 2 5
