IBeMe Posted August 4 Posted August 4 Literally impossible. It will take a minimum of 15 to 20 years to JUST clear out the rubble as estimated by UN experts…the destruction there is on another level. Then there's the basic infrastructure issues which were bad even prior to the war. Israel has made it basically nearly unlivable. And this is with predictions that another conflict won't happen which is very unlikely…. 1
BGKC Posted August 4 Posted August 4 Surely, they just want to debt trap the region. China's ulterior motives in developing/war torn countries might not be as violent or deadly as western interest, but I'll take this with a grain of salt and bet that Israel will want to rebuild it as their own. More drama. 1 1 1
Tusk Posted August 4 Posted August 4 You know how this works right? They will rebuild and then ask for a certain time frame to get pay back. If they don't pay back in time, China will then own it. That's what they are doing throughout SE Asia. Countries like Laos and Cambodia will never be able to pay back what was done. Just look at the high speed train in Laos. In a few years time, the loan repayment clock runs out. China will then own the Laos railway line completely. 6
Princess Aurora Posted August 4 Posted August 4 (edited) I think it's funny how Xi Jinping is trying to act like they are the good guys Edited August 4 by Princess Aurora 2
Zachbbs Posted August 4 Posted August 4 They should focus on what they're doing to the Uyghurs as well. 3

Riot Posted August 4 Posted August 4 They just need to say that some ancient book states that Chinese people are native to the land 1 1
Communion Posted August 4 Posted August 4 (edited) People fearmongering about China providing aid (abd already brokering alliances between Hamas and Fatah) while living in countries actively aiding in the ongoing genocide. Edited August 4 by Communion 2 1

Why would they care about a random CCP spokesperson virtue signaling at a press conference? Edit: wait, the link literally has no mention of rebuilding? This is the only sentence that mentions Gaza. Is there an actual source or did everyone fall for a fake tweet? Quote Lin Jian: We are closely following the incident. China firmly opposes and condemns the act of assassination and is deeply concerned that the incident may plunge the region into greater turmoil. China has been calling for settling regional disputes through negotiation and dialogue and an early, comprehensive and permanent ceasefire in Gaza and there should be no more escalation of the conflict and confrontation. shakeyourbombom Posted August 5 Posted August 5 China pretends they are not anti-Muslim when they locked millions of Uyghurs in concentration camps.
Digitalism Posted August 5 Posted August 5 Of course they will try to expand their influence in the middle east

Phaunzie Posted August 8 Posted August 8 (edited) That's great. Not girls saying they would want to be paid back with money, this ain't the West. This would count toward humanitarian aid, and give China a better public and political image. Unlike the West that would put Palestine under a restrictive loan with high interest rates making it impossible to pay them,so bacj, thus forcing the nation to allow Western companies to invade their land. As well as allowing The USA to seize any part of the country if not adequately conpensated. China is also a far better ally since they don't align with Israel unlike The USA, UK and the European Union. Edited August 8 by Phaunzie
