BeenTheShit Posted August 2 Posted August 2 Wasn't this possibly in the works already? I almost feel like Eva said something about it in an interview.

Mordecai Posted August 3 Posted August 3 As entertaining and hilarious as Desperate Housewives was nobody is tuning in to watch a show about a bunch of women who can afford to be stay at home wives in the year 2024 Maybe if the cast was full of Lynettes trying to balance motherhood, a career and a gossiping neighbourhood but that would be boring 2
simplywohoo Posted August 3 Posted August 3 They could continue where it ended with the new girlie with the gun in the chest A revival with the og cast will never happen. Eva said she would love to but Marc Cherry (the creator) has no interest in that
Iceland Posted August 3 Posted August 3 If you miss Eva Longoria just watch LAND OF WOMEN on Apple TV. It's like a continuation of Gabrielle's character 2
Slap Posted August 3 Posted August 3 The show is an absolute masterpiece as it is. A reboot of them as grandmas would kinda slay with Edie as the narrator judging them though.
Into The Void Posted August 3 Posted August 3 (edited) I'd be okay with a reunion movie Like how they did Teen Wolf and Veronica Mars Edited August 3 by Into The Void
YourFavoriteWeapon Posted August 3 Posted August 3 I don't think they should reboot it but I think it would be interesting if we got another show with a similar concept. There are many actresses I can think of who would nail the role of a housewife (ex: Reese Witherspoon, Blake Lively, Hilary Duff, Anna Farris etc).
XDNA Posted August 3 Posted August 3 Original cast. It can be something like a movie or a mini-series, maybe something happens that brings them all back together.
ithinkheknowsoutsold Posted August 3 Posted August 3 I'm on my first watch of the series at the moment (watching the season 2 finale as we speak), and as entertaining as the show is, I feel like the nostalgia-bait needs to stop. Maybe something that is like a spiritual successor to Desperate Housewives, but not a direct reboot. It would get panned and end after 2 10-episode seasons.

Dante Silva Posted August 3 Posted August 3 (edited) Being back the original cast including a camp and wholly implausible plot line revolving around Edie Britt never really having died. Have the writers study "The Real Housewife's of .." (wherever) franchise and write the most ridiculous scenario's from that in to the plot. Have it follow "Ru Paul's Drag Race" in the TV schedules (with rights to the show and characters being bought by the same TV network if necessary). Write a character played by Amber Heard in to the plot. Have the writers not be afraid to be completely OTT/ camp. Edited August 3 by Dante Silva 2
